They won't do this.

Their social media will post a black and white picture from 2018 that says "remember the 20th anniversary of BTCS?" But the picture will actually be from 2019.

They will also ask to post our favorite song from the album.

They make actually make a playlist of songs that have nothing to do with BTCS too. Just 20 random songs from LT 1-10 and a song off Piedmont Park. and then a #nugs

Maybe they'll give us a "did you know BTCS was recorded in 1998 at the Record Plant where Fleetwood Mac made rumours?"

They will not acknowledge that some of us would like a remaster done in the same manner as RTT, UTTAD and Crash.

Didnt someone on the new album thread say that some PR or radio guy had said that its gonna be a landmark year for dmb and that it will celebrate an older album.. somthing along those lines.. has that been discussed?

You could say the same about 2018. They released a new album (landmark year!) and "celebrated" an older album with a few social media posts!

I remember taping it (sorry Hilly, I know this will really bother you as an upstanding citizen who would never commit such a heinous act) and listening to it over and over again until I bought the album. I do believe this is my most purchased album. I bought it at least 10 times over… giving it to friends, replacements, etc.

From the vinyl releases thread. Not sure if Doby has specific info, but he does generally have a pretty good pulse on these things in general:

I think its just guessing on his part.
If he was saying it four years ago he was wrong then hehe

Such a no brainer for the band and they havent done it. Baffling.

I'm sure he can/will chime in so I'll let him speak to that, but this was another separate discussion a week or so ago - it just doesn't sound very promising:

I've got no idea what's up. In Jan 2018 I would have bet you US$100 Amazon gift card you would have BTCS by Christmas.

Maybe they just put out a documentary celebrating the 25th. No vinyl would suck.

Definitely would prefer a repress as opposed to dropping a grand on an old record. BTCS is my 2nd fav album of all-time. Would love to add to the vinyl collection, DMB!

Highly doubt they'd do a repress of the original. It would be a new master.

I was in high school and approximately 8 of us were crowded around a radio listening Matt Pinfield's debut of the new album. We were recording the whole thing on tape... which lead to our taped versions of "Stay" & "Crush" being played at our Prom... in Charlottesville. We played "Crush" twice, and that was an awesome prom .

Did you play any other songs? That seems like it would take up the entire night.

Of all the versions of And Justice For All I've heard, the CBS Sony Japanese import (25DP 5178) is the best.
    https://www.discogs.com/release/1075...ustice-For-All

I love that album too, no idea what condition the multitracks are in but I've been dreaming of what they could do with a surround mix for many, many years.

I see Sam Erickson is no longer going to be working for Sony, and will be focusing on photography and creating documentaries. I don't know if that is good or bad news for a potential BTCS related documentary. I would have assumed Sony and Sam would both be involved. Perhaps they still will be.

I wouldn’t have expected it to be a rsd release. There is too much demand.

Lol imagine if it was an RSD release. 500 copies. And it had MacHead on a little 7” as a bonus. People would be so pissed

I would love to hear that album with functional bass.
