Honestly, I’m not even mad about it being all 2018 songs... it’s just the songs they chose.

Thinking back to Summer 2018 (just off the top of my head):
Squirm w/ the orchestra at HB
BEF/Bartender at WPB
TGIY w/ Preservation Hall at the Gorge
Anything with Hamilton de Holanda

So many great performances but these are what they go with? Shit, I’d rather have the new Ants with the improv solos over anything on this disc.

Raven from N1 of SPAC or When the World Ends from Blossom immediately jumped in my mind when I was thinking of other '18 songs to slap on this. Such cool intros on both from a new band member in '18 too.

They fit (I guess), but they do scrape against each other while opening and closing. They could've made it several centimeters larger and it would be no problem whatsoever. It's the perfect size for them to fit side by side and rub against each other ever so slightly. A sensual caress really

That's 4 from Oregon, in addition to the other 2 songs from that show on the latest Encore Trax disc. So that's almost 1/3rd of the show! I was at that show, and I can tell you that there is nothing special about these versions of these songs. At all. Don't get me wrong, She rocked and LLD was beautiful, but nothing all that unique about them.

No one has a clear cut explanation why they chose this Warehouse CD the way they did; the best explanation those here with sources is the band liked the way they sounded in summer ‘18. We are told there are reasons management chooses to do things the way they do for most decisions but our sources can’t go into details about the why and ifs of those choices. Really no one I’ve seen here has cracked management’s thought processes in choosing or not choosing shows for LTs. I only pointed out precedence of a management choosing a full Warehouse CD content from one year.

I'm certainly not "worried" about it, haha! I'd be fine if there's no more SKREEEs on a DMB release.

I know you guys can't reveal anything, but I'm curious if you are just guessing there will be more or just assuming? I know there are insiders on the boards, but unless you've heard something very specific about an upcoming release from a reliable source recently, I wouldn't go making assumptions.

Well, as the years go by newer material gets played, newer lineups emerge, more shows/years become available to choose from etc etc, so yea you’re right that older shows will not be released at the same rate as before.

I’m not really sure what else to tell you, but older DMB shows and songs will continue to be released.

To boot, why would they have released the show they did for LT46? It has So Much To Say on it. He's a credited writer, his name appearing in the liner notes on the release. As well I'd assume he sees royalties on that song in particular.

If we see more than 1 true public release this year that has Buddy playing on it Id say that is a sign that they are making a push to put more new shows than before. Thats kind of more what im getting at. Time will tell.

I'm all about getting songs from a show I was at but those 3 from Pine Knob (DTE) aren't worthy of it. Hello Again was good but didn't strike me as special. If any songs from that show, Recently or Typical would have been my choices. I mean YMDT isn't really worthy from any show. Fine song and enjoy it live but it's rarely ever unique where it needs a Warehouse CD release. I mean 10 tracks from a total of 4 shows? Are they getting THAT lazy? Hell if we were sticking with 2018, some of the debuts from the Fall tour would have been much better.
