You'll often find me making the case that most double albums could've been a really good single

And I think In Rainbows is a great example of that. The LP we have is nearly flawless. Even Faust Arp, which I think is the weakest track, really serves its purpose, a nice palate cleanser

I don't know that I would feel as strongly if disc 2 were just side 2 or if they had mixed up the track listing and made them one big record

As it stands, it's kind of like Kid A and Amnesiac — In Rainbows is a batch of songs that fit really well together and Disc 2 is other good stuff made at the same time
