    thank you Marvel!
I will warn you that the feeling I had when I was watching this movie was very very similar to the feeling I had when I was watching Eternals.

It seems like this current phase consists of projects that are either:"I enjoyed seeing that director I like play in the Marvel universe even though the story wasn't great" or "I really enjoyed seeing a story in the Marvel universe even though the direction wasn't all that great"

Not getting the Eternals parallels at all. The entire time I was watching Eternals, I knew it was terrible. The entire time I was watching Doc Strange, I knew it was fucking awesome.

I had some of the same “why am I supposed to care?” feelings about America as I did with whatever the Eternals characters’ names were. But at least this one had my girl Liz Olsen fucking everyone up like Carrie at the prom.

Saw it yesterday. It was really good at times. At other times, meh. The Sorcerer's Apprentice scene toward the end was so odd and out of place. Didn't get that at all. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

One of my favorite scenes of the movie. I remember when the first Doctor Strange wrapped, and Feige called it the MCU's Fantasia. I didn't get that feeling at all so this felt like a nice callback to that. And it was so damn campy. I loved it.

Hard to be completely objective when that's the case, but I fucking loved this. I can definitely see it being pretty divisive, but you won't find anything in the MCU as horror-inspired (and at times even flat-out campy) as this. Raimi's hands are all over it.

I'll be getting a lot of mileage out of this one.
At times it definitely had an Amy of Darkness meets Marvel Universe feel.

Not sure how I felt about the movie. I had different expectations from what it ended up being. But I always do love me some Doctor Strange so there's that.

I give this one a solid 8.5/10, and that’s mainly due to script issues I have. I REALLY hope Raimi makes more of these for Marvel, he’s the GOAT comic book movie filmmaker, imo.

America Chavez was basically just a plot device/macguffin.

Also after Wanda taking out everything and everyone AC was able to punch her....ok.

That being said still enjoyed it.

I saw the movie opening night and had mixed feelings. I thought it was fun, but it was so far off from what I was expecting I almost felt meh about it. Went again Sunday and the viewing experience was much better.

I think the expectations laid out by calling it the “Multiverse of Madness” was not helpful. The horror elements really held up in my second viewing, and I think this movie will age as an easy rewatch.

Also the official Marvel accounts lifted their spoiler embargo on Monday. I think we’re in the clear now. To answer the above, zero chance Wanda died. You’re not killing one of the biggest characters in the MCU from a distance. Plus as the temple collapses you see her encased in magic.

Where she’s at mentally in the MCU would be the perfect start towards House of M.

Took the day off yesterday and caught this on a matinee. I enjoyed it quite a bit but it was clearly messy in places. I got the biggest smile when I heard the Animated Series musical motif.

Slightly off topic but wanna shoutout matinee showings. My new go-to has been the 1 PM showing on Fridays. Fewer people and a more relaxed vibe. Really enjoy it more than opening nights.

Same, and way cheaper. I can grab a matinee for like 6 bucks, toss a can of Coke and some reeses pieces in my pocket and I'm good to go

My days off used to be a Friday. Would always catch that first Friday showing for whatever the new movie was

Usually the only person there. Loved it.

Unless it was a scary movie
