Agree thanks for the help. Prices are getting pretty steep these days. Regardless, I'm grateful for the list!

I know it's about a 10 mile ride but i booked the Tru Hilton in North Charleston for about $120 a night. I'm good with that considering over $500 for 2 tickets for both nights.

Really wanna go...we're trying to work this one out. We went to the beach for a week and then a night in town with our boys and my 'rents a few years ago and loved. Tennis stadiums have good vibes...love he smaller venue. Figure this will be among the harder tix to land this year...

We are looking to stay in the place with the best walk ability for bars and restaurants. is that not the historic district? or is it just too expensive? I cannot tell if Mount Pleasant is a walkable area. Thanks!

Mt Pleasant does have a small downtown area right outside the venue. The Charleston historic district is closer to the water (about a 10 minute drive from the venue i believe, so a totally separate area). If you've never been to Charleston you definitely have to check out the historic area. Great restaurants, etc.

Mount pleasant is not a walkable area like you describe unless you stay at Shem Creek Inn. There are several great bars on the water you can walk to from there.

I would 100% recommend staying downtown though. Hotel prices will be steeper than Mt Pleasant, but definitely worth it.

I think you’re thinking about Daniel Island in your first sentence.

    Agreed.

There are a few hotels close to some decent "shopping areas" with bars and restaurants.

Homewood Suites in Seaside Farms and the Hyatt Place by Towne Center come to mind as only options I can think of in Mount Pleasant.

The Embassy Suites downtown is in a great location.

If you are looking to splurge go with the Dewberry it is fantastic.

I always check the box to opt of lawn (Bleachers in this case) but I think I’m just gonna let it ride and take what I get. I expect these two shows to be tough tickets to get.

I’m torn between requesting WH or refreshing citi presale webpage at 9am 2/22! I agree, think it’s going to be a hot ticket for both shows!

Not sure how reliable this info is, but apparently Phish wanted to play the Riverfront Park where High Water and Trondossa are put on, but the mayor of North Charleston said no. I’ve always thought that would be a great place for DMB to play.

This is the twofer we wanted to see the most, but our oldest is graduating from HS the Tuesday afterwards AND we're working on both sides of the weekend in NoVA.

I feel like these are going to great shows. Enjoy all.

It is allowed, you just have to stay on roads with speed limits 35 and below.

Well, just got the wife to agree to 1 night, so while the 1999 DMB fan in me is dying inside for not going to both, I'll take it. It looks like North Charleston and Mount Pleasant have reasonable hotel prices but holy hell the hotels in Charleston proper aren't.

I am guessing if you're only going to 1 night, night 2 would be the best from a seniority standpoint if going through the warehouse?

Is North Charleston a fine place to stay if you're only there for a quick weekend trip?

I tend to overthink these things but am i limiting myself in any way by not choosing pit standing tix? I prefer any other ticket so my request starts at the next level. I actually would rather have a seat. The only scenario i can think of would be if i'm chosen for tickets but there are no more reserved seats in the pool (probably not likely since most people would choose pit first).

There are some pretty dangerous areas in North Charleston.

If you stay near the Tanger Outlets area near the airport it is ok. Most of the rest isn't great especially at night.

Mount Pleasant is 200x better than North Charleston so unless you are getting a hotel at 1/4th of the price of a MT pleasant equivalent I'd suggest Mount Pleasant.

    Thanks for the recommendations guys!
    Favorite restaurant downtown? Favorite brewery?

Really looking forward to our first visit to Charleston with friends from VA and also my brother driving down from Charlotte. Tying in a visit with him over Memorial Day weekend and then staying in Folly Beach for 2 days. Any recommendations for the island? Staying in Mt. Pleasant at the Home2Suites for 3 nights, so we would love to check out some great food, beer and scenery.

Best of luck to everyone with WH!

FIG and Halls are above the rest in terms of restaurants downtown in my opinion. There are a ton of good options downtown. Lewis for bbq. Best brewery downtown, in my opinion, is Revelry. Great atmosphere and rooftop.

For folly, eat at Bowen’s Island. Good atmosphere and seafood. Folly has some fun bars as well… Loggerheads, Snapper Jacks, blu (on the beach at tides hotel). Can’t remember the name of the place across from snapper jacks on center street but it’s a good spot as well.

Go to Shem Creek in Mt Pleasant. Not sure how familiar you are but it’s a group of bars and restaurants on the water that will be a lot of fun that time of year both during the day and at night…. Scoop some brunch across the street at Page’s as well.

Looks like on my account I was confirmed for a premium pair each night. Hopefully one or both nights are pits. Much prefer regular priced tickets but knew the demand for this show would be high so I requested premiums as well. Did the same thing on my brother's account but no hard charges from that one yet so no idea what I'm getting there. Now if I just get confirmed for SPAC, all will be taken care of early on...that would be nice.
