Got my seats and parking. Ready for another year! Yes, the parking is tough, but even last year when I picked up a ticket last-minute and was in the free lots I was still home before 12:30 and I live around an hour from the venue.

On the flip side, I just got Sec 14 for OneRepublic and I hope that I don't have obstructed view. Tickets were only $40 and they have a ton of hits so it was a no brainer.

This is going to sound funny but I actually enjoyed 4C more than my 1E (first row, not sure the exact row) last year. Once you get close to the pit for some reason the seating just seems so much more crowded and cramped, not to mention first row (while it sounds awesome) is floor level with the pit so there is no elevated separation from that sh*t show.

Hopefully you end up with some seats super close to the inside aisle. Killer spot.

This isn't directed at you, but i never understood everyone's rush to get out of the venue - especially Mansfield. They aren't kicking you out and I think after a good show, why not savor the moment and kick back, enjoy a beer and some food, chat with the neighbors who also stick around, and wait for traffic to clear.

I've never been in a rush to leave a show, getting home at 1:30am doesn't bother me, and last year Mansfield didn't give a flying F about us staying there. Our group ate, drank, played music, danced, threw a frisbee around, and played washers for well more than an hour. Nothing wrong with a tailgate encore.

SPAC premier is the same way - unless you are the last couple cars, the cops don't care if you stick around as long as you aren't being a complete fool.

I will say if you commonly stay after a show and hang in the parking lot Mansfield would seem to be good for this. So, overall, I think you have the right attitude about how to take lemons and make lemonade.

But for me (long drive, toddler who will shake me awake at 7AM sharp) I'm personally very happy these boards alerted me in 2021 that parking and leaving after the show at Mansfield is considerably more problematic than other venues.

No offense taken. When I was younger I was usually one of the last ones out of the lots. For a few years, we'd pack a separate post-show cooler for a second tailgate, to the point where we had security actually come up and tell us it was time to leave. We'd get standard parking the first night and set up camp after the show got out, take off work the next day, but get the paid parking for the second night so we could get enough sleep (there were a lot of midweek shows and most in my crew were teachers).

Now I have two kids that "sleep in" until 6 and hit the ground running, so the more sleep I can get, the better.

Yes once kids come into the equation that changes the game Better yet if you have great seats trade them to me so you old geezers can scoot out early and beat the traffic

Maybe you didn't like those first row seats because you spent more time elsewhere

Most people doing the New England weekend in Hartford want to get home to rest up for the next day of tailgating. Last year I left during DDTW so I could get back to Connecticut and shower and sleep to get ready to do it all over again the next afternoon in Hartford.

Now if i end up going to the Mansfield Phish 2 night stand with my buddy who lives in Rhode Island 15 minutes away I may sit in the lots and enjoy some post show munchies and chill before heading back to his place for the night because I don't have to book it to Hartford.

its actually fairly small - not SPAC small but easily half the size of Hartford. Numbers wise i'm not sure how many it can fit
