Okay; I am so tempted to take my family to this, and go for the pit. It’s me, my wife and three boys.

Since I can only request two warehouse pit tickets, what is your suggestion?

Do I try and get three through the public presale? Do I try and find two ants to request the other 3 tickets I need?

We are also headed back to the Gorge this year. So excited!!

This, unfortunately, will be a near-impossible task. Pine Knob’s pit may be the smallest of any venue. IF you managed to get two through the warehouse, I’ve never heard of anyone getting them through pre or regular sale.

Not to say you won’t be able to get them, but be prepared to pay the resale price on TM/Stubhub.

Going to agree with the other poster. This is a very tough pit ticket, anyone that even scores two is extremely lucky.

Alpine pit is an easier ticket but not sure I would take my kids to any of the pits I’ve seen! Good luck lol!

I’m about 15 minutes from the venue. If a band is playing there that I’m not super into we always get lawn seats because they’re dirt cheap. I go there a lot in the summer. The lawn there is great. It’s a small venue to begin with and it’s designed really well. Sight and sound alike. I’ve been in many pavilions that feel worse than the lawn at pine knob.

Here's a good one....
I have southwest airline credit that expires soon. So it's either use it or lose it. So I thought, why not fly to a DMB show for an overnight and be back to the wife and kid by the next evening??? Checked my schedule and cross checked with tour dates and my best bet is Pine Knob. Approached the wife on this crazy idea and because she's amazing, she said go for it!
So, I'm here looking for a good single. Apparently PIT is tough to come by cause it's a tiny area but if someone has one to sell....�� I'd prefer as close as possible to the stage bc well, I'm F'ing flying solo to this so I gotta make it worth my while. (Never been to Michigan before either)

Also need help on a hotel and a decent place to pregame if anyone is familiar with the area.

This is gonna be epic.

Pine Knob has a great tailgating scene if you're into that. In previous years I remember lots "opening" at 4p but people get there earlier with no issues.

But for regular lodging and restaurants before the show, Auburn Hills is a good bet with probably the most options (you're going to find some closer to the venue, but definitely more volume in Auburn Hills). 20 minutes from venue.

Last thing to know: Pine Knob is an AWESOME venue. It gets stuck as a mid week show because of its proximity to Deer Creek/Alpine/SPAC, but it always is an excellent crowd and gets good sets from the band. It's smaller, and even if you end up on the lawn, sightlines and sound are great throughout.

Making our first trip to Pine Knob. Is the VIP parking worth it here. Blossom is our home venue so I always get a parking pass as it's so much closer and getting out is much faster.

It used to be but I'm not sure if they open the back entrance anymore. It was closed last year. That was the major perk in that the VIP lot funneled out that way. Getting there early and optimizing your position in the main lot usually works just fine.

With that said, I picked up $5 VIP parking passes on Stub Hub last year and will look to do the same this year. It's a lot closer to the venue entrance at the least and there's more room to tailgate.

You've got it. Yes, they do. You just can't take up another parking spot with a pop up.

The only thing they are a stickler about is you can't technically drink in the lots due to local ordinances but even the event staff and cops will tell you to pour it into a solo cup so they "don't know what you're drinking."

They are sometimes sticklers about setting up pop ups on the pavement. Get there early and set up in the grass. Although, we never even bring the pop up anymore because its so shady in the grass
