I wonder this too.
My thought is that there not enough HQ two track early days tapes left that aren’t highly traded/heard already.

The criteria for these was a little strict as well until the one audience recording they tried to make money on. Weird.

But shows like D&T 4/22/93 or 1/27/93 we’re already widely available and really good quality.. albeit a good master makes them a little better.. but it’s tough to get excited about a show you’ve heard a lot, it sounded awesome , to hear it “remastered” or just officially released.

I think Sirius broadcasts kinda replaced the DMBLive series. But we haven't gotten one of those in a while either.

I really wish the band has a multitracked '94 Fall tape they can LT. Really want a Get In Line in that series. I wish/hope the Great American Music Hall had some veracity to the rumors, and that they've just been putting it off for release.

We’ve had 6 2004 releases: 4 Live Traxes, a DMBLive, and a D&F. I wouldn’t mind more, though. Great year.

2012 should get some representation at some point but I have no idea what that has to do with my post, I'd take VFC inclusions and Winter 2000 over anything from 2012.

It never ceases to amaze me. The true hardcores will try and tell you CT is trash, but AFTW is AMAZING, but once a ‘12 AFTW tour show gets brought up as something we need, it continuously gets delegated to the back of the line.

If Boyd wasn’t such a butcher on 6.24.03, there would be people consistently asking for that show. Even with his struggles, that show deserves to be heard by the masses with that set. That or 7.3.03 hopefully sees a release at some point

I don't hate CT, but rest of what you said applies to me: like AFTW, don't want a '12 show. The band really did not sound good that year. That was the height of overpowering Tim, no Dave guitar, and a totally MIA Boyd. On top of that, summer '12 was full of awful setlists, and most of the best AFTW songs didn't debut until the fall. And then you have the problem of those songs not really translating well live. Dave can't sing Broken Things; Boyd was always muted on BBN; The Riff and If Only are good in the studio but just tedious live. Other than two pretty good shows at Alpine and a couple good fall shows, '12 just doesn't have much to offer for a Live Trax release.

I agree..2012 Summer was not a great tour. The Alpine shows that Summer are pretty much the best sets of the Summer. I wouldn't mind if Charlotte was released from 5/23/12 but only for that Bartender. That was one of the best jams I've ever heard. The Fall Tour 2012 was pretty solid. The AFTW songs were starting to come together. 12/9/12 is a good set, but most of them look pretty solid for a LT release.

‘94 is top of my Live Trax wishlist. There has to be something from that year they could release. I’ve always thought an LT30 type release would be cool from the November Fox Theater run. They recorded What Would You Say for the music video there.

It's not impossible to love an album and think that tour that surrounded its release wasn't that good. 2012 was when I really started to notice how loud and overpowering they were getting and started getting turned off of the live shows.

I am partial to the 6.6.2012 show. I was there and I think it is still my favorite setlist that I've attended. Also, the sound quality of the taper recording of this show is outrageously good.

Aftw isn’t amazing. It’s respectable tho. Come tomorrow is poorly produced with a batch of songs that are awful.

Also the first year Boyd was almost completely non-existent. That was by far his worst year. Muted almost every note of every show. That's when I lost interest in tapes. Got sick of straining to hear Boyd.

Wasn't there, but have been saying the same about 6/5 & 6/6/12. Both incredibly underrated shows from that year. Sets were great, band sounded great, and the mix was the best all year. Even Boyd was audible.

There are definitely some great 2012 shows. Mansfield, Burgettstown & Alpine are top 3.

I saw the most shows I’ve ever seen in 2012, and I forget most of them apart from the Winter tour. There are a few shows that could be decent releases though, including the Philly fall show and the IZOD N1 show. I’m surprised we never got the IZOD show yet.

Apart from that, maybe Hartford N2, Toronto (summer), Mansfield N1, VA Beach, Alpine N2, Burgettstown N2, WPB N2, Boston, Manchester just bc we don’t have a tape. Everything else is pretty craptastic
