Re: Annual Warehouse Package

So funny how we're all different, but basically the same.

I think some band has a lyric about that.

Plus, since I am a nerd, I add the date also in the comment field (format YYYY.MM.DD). Some app allow power filtering based on that field (it means that you can create a smart playlist of songs played on a certain day, or month, or in a specific range).
In addition, I fill the “group” field in the metadata with “AUD” “IEM” “SBD” so I can filter that too if I want.

I thought about offering up my services as a side hustle, but I don't think people would be willing to pay how much I'd want to charge for my time It's a painful process organizing an iTunes library.

Spaceman (Gorge 2015) has a nice trumpet solo and the segue into Corn Bread is really smooth. I liked it too.

It's frustrating that you have to wait until the month after you renew with the WH.

when does this bonus show and the new disc get released? i seriously gotta wait till the fall if i signed up in september. thats the dumbest shit ever. you think it would be easier for them to handle just to do one mass mailing or email with the links for downloads.

It's now available for anyone who renewed in January, but it should just be released to everyone all at once, I agree.

I’m just glad that you posted that it was available now. I’m a January renewal and never got an email that it was available. Usually it’s closer to the end of the month before we’re notified that it’s there.

I know it’s not the crowd favorite but I’m a huge fan of “sweet” and “Everyday” with Buddy.

I do the LPLive channel on YouTube and it's mindblowing what gets flagged. Have to dispute stuff almost daily. The automatic content recognition system that's used on YouTube and Facebook/Instagram will think something is one thing and it's not lol. Last week a live sample of a siren in a song got flagged as a German TV show. It regularly thinks 2012 performances could be from 2007 released on CD, but they're not. Just like how your video claims some of this is 2013 material. Wild.

It’s really frustrating for the reasons you stated. Why I’m able to post AFTW in its entirety without getting flagged, while Crash and Everyday get flagged immediately is beyond me.

I tried disputing a few of the flags I got since they were tagged incorrectly but to no avail.

It’s been fun to share some difficult-to-find releases like the radio promos or rare live tapes. More to come!

YouTube in general has gone downhill on the creator side for years. But it’s laughable at how difficult dealing with copyright is on their site.

I went back to all affected videos and updated the timestamps for everyone. Working on the rest of 2004 uploads tomorrow!

    Re: Annual Warehouse Package

Kind of a middle-of-the-road Warehouse collection in my opinion. I usually listen to these things and (not saying whether I like/dislike a song) compare the tracks to what has previously been released. Here's my 2 cents:

#40 - Too short to complain that it took the place of anything. But nowhere near other versions we have.
Beach Ball - No versions are as good as the 2009 full ones. But this is still enjoyable. This one is pretty similar to the truncated one from the Come Tomorrow bonus disc. Boyd and the horns might be more prominent on this version (and Tim a little less), so take your pick.
Stay or Leave - For those that say these collections are a dart throw, enter exhibit A. One of my least favourite released versions of this song. The tempo really seems to be dragging towards the finish. If you're looking for a version that you might hear what Buddy adds, look elsewhere. I think he even took a piss break during this version.
Black and Blue Bird - Just 5 days difference between this and the other version we have from Alpine/Live Trax 36. So the arrangement is the exact same. But I found this version to just be cleaner sounding. And they didn't scrub/mute Boyd. You can clearly hear what he's adding to the song on this version. Nothing earth shattering from him, but not terrible.
SpaceBread - Comparing this to the other 2 sets version we have (Live Trax 52), I remember people thinking that Spaceman was unique because of the drum solo and Boyd's playing during the chorus. You lose the drum solo on this version. But you keep Boyd's presence, and it's a more inspired version (Rashawn's solo included). CornBread is standard here. I think the Live Trax 52 version is more unique maybe with what the horns are doing during the solo. So I would say the best 2 sets Spacebread would be this Spaceman --> Live Trax 52 CornBread.
Minarets/Typical/#36/Ants - A great collection of segues (classic tunes); buuuttttt if you own the DMBLive series, none of these versions will be approaching your favourites. There are much better ones out there.

So whether you like these songs or not, hopefully many will find it nice to hear Boyd somewhat prominently (especially those that believe he's being scrubbed). If anything, he's brought more forward in this collection

The email that just went out to January renewals has revised cover art for Vol 11...now says "Warehouse Volume 11" and not "Warehouse 10 Volume 11" (see attached). I was wondering if/when they were going to get rid of the "Warehouse 7/10" naming scheme.

Great write up, but spacebread on LT 52 was in the electric set. Can you give a 👍🏻 Or 👎🏻 For how they sound in the acoustic form? This is something I find interesting and actually exciting to have. Also, is Dave prominent on spaceman?

I am a January renewal - still haven't received the e-mail for the downloads. Do they roll out the monthly renewals one person at a time?

Log in to Warehouse. I didn't see an email either but was able to download both offerings yesterday.
