This whole thing is a mess and just reinforcing my lack of desire to attend.
This - on one hand Bethel appears to hold more water but is being held at a shed (basically) with a seating capacity of 15k (of course on/near the grounds of the original festival). WG on the other hand has the infrastructure to support an event worthy of the magnitude of Woodstock, but is just being talked about/planning is just getting off the ground.

If they were to merge it would have to be at WG. Problem is if they arent already on top of the planning at this point theyre going to have one hell of a time having things ready by the dates they announced.

    Agreed.

I feel like this sort of thing probably needs more than 7 months to plan

Why the fuck wouldn't this have been kicked off and started to be talked about like a year ago?

There were lots of rumblings about it I saw over last summer, but everything I read definitely wasnt 100% it was happening.

If this does happen Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters doesn't really make me want to go, would be interested to see who else is playing

are those the rumored headliners? I havent heard anything about the acts.

PJ would definitely pique my interest a bit.

I normally wouldn't have bothered to post in here, cause it's not like I'd be attending the thing anyway, but thought I'd share this news I just saw. I still don't know what would be the reasoning exactly behind this, but there's a story from seemingly a reliable source that Pearl Jam will NOT be involved in this at all.

The only work it looks like they'll be doing for the summer is further work on their eventual next album.

I think its the best festival lineup I've seen, or close to it, but it certainly isn't mind blowing. This was really really hyped up.

The way I'm reading the lineup Jay Z is closing the final night - either way this is a pretty standard festival for 2019. Lots of acts who pop up on the festival circuit regularly.

    I think it's a killer lineup:

    Santana
    Raconteurs
    Robert Plant
    Nathaniel Rateliff
    John Fogerty
    Run the Jewels
    Maggie Rogers
    Larkin Poe
    Dead & Co.
    Chance the Rapper
    The Black Keys
    Sturgill Simpson
    Greta Van Fleet
    Leon Bridges
    Gary Clark Jr.
    David Crosby
    Dawes
    Margo Price
    Brandi Carlile
    Reignwolf
    Marcus King Band

That's a lot of great acts. Sunday is pretty light but day 1 & 2 are stacked. Kinda regretting the family vacation I've already got planned that same week. No doubt it'll be a fun weekend for all going.
