cause if not I'd wonder if it's fair to say PTA was at least inspired a fair amount by Pulp Fiction.

and total side note, but I'm very intrigued by how the actor who's playing Charles Manson in this movie (even though QT's been clear it's not at all centered around that), he's the same guy playing Manson in David Fincher's Mindhunters season 2 on Netflix.

I kid because I love, Jr.

And to answer the poll question, Pulp Fiction, followed by Django or Basterds.

I rewatched Dogs last year after a roughly ten year break and wasn't nearly as excited by it as I used to be. It doesn't age that well.

    Pulp
    Django
    Hateful
    Basterds
    Jackie
    Kill Bill
    Dogs
    .
    .
    .
    Grindhouse

Which isnt to say Dogs is a bad movie, those top 7 are all inside my all time top 50, just Dogs is currently low on my QT list. I rewatched Jackie Brown recently too and enjoyed it quite a bit more than the first time. I agree that that one is really underated.

Pulp is a masterpiece. I really enjoyed Hateful 8. Django is overrated, although it might be Sam Jackson's best performance. Think Jackie Brown is a bore. KB2 fell kinda flat. All the rest are above average.

Interesting the trailer showed no hint of the gore the story/storyteller are so famous for.

oh dude, if anything I'd be bummed you might've missed the love from MY side in that response. I figured it might've been a given when I was boasting about the intellectual prowess shown by "my $2 words"

well, one thing, it's only the first trailer. And this does seem like more of a 'teaser'. But maybe even more importantly, Tarantino has been pretty clear from the start, the Manson massacre is not in any way the central thread of the movie (so I just suppose don't get confused by Margot Robbie of all people as Sharon Tate ) It seems to be more of a background, or at least just side thread of the overall story at most. maybe more just for thematic reasons than straight plot?
