If the rules are the same as the old venue, then tailgating “isn’t allowed.” That said, I always got away with it at the old place. Just keep it in solo cups and keep bottles/cans out of sight. Keep it mellow and you should be fine.

If Carter and Stefan tested positive Friday morning, and assuming they follow CDC guidelines of isolation for 10 days, they won’t be able to return to touring until the 12th….looks like alternative format for Irvine.

If alternate format is the only option, I hope it's postponed. I need the full band format. As unique as the gorge is, Carter is who hooks me to spending the dough. Wishthey'd get to the line up they have currently without so much dave solo also. Set List on Friday was short for this tour standards. Anyone else prefer a reschedule instead of alternate format?

I believe isolation can’t be cut shorter with a negative test, in fact a negative test is not needed to end the 10 day isolation. Quarantine on the other hand can be cut short (from 14 days to 7 days with a negative test on day 4-5 after exposure).

Looks like vaccinated or not, it is 10 days of isolation, from National CDC and local OC guidelines. I’d imagine by next week, being so close to LA, they’ll get a few full-ins. Chances of Carter and Stefan I’d say are very low.

True. The only way they could make the Irvine show is if their symptoms started prior to their positive test on Friday…in which their 10 day isolation starts on day of first symptom…but Carter has been asymptotic. Stefan with mild cold like symptoms but not sure when it started. Of course this is assuming they follow CDC/OC guidelines.

We were going to come out and do Disney Land for our youngest and see the Irvine shows, back when we had naively believed everyone would get vaccinated...

Maybe next year. I hope you guys all have a great pair of shows. We're scheduled for SPAC, but we'll see how this all plays out.

Well, shit. I mean, all things equal I’d prefer full band. But I think the band pulled off some pretty interesting shows at the Gorge this weekend. I’m still down for whatever.

Lotta shit can change in a week so I guess we’ll see what happens but I’m still guessing that Carter and/or Stefan may be available by next week.

the Dave solo / Dave&Tim stuff was awesome. I wouldn’t be upset one bit if a show that I was attending got changed to that format

I’m just hoping to get one real full band show in. Bringing a friend who hasn’t seen the band & is a huge Carter fan so would be a real bummer if they’re not back to normal by then.

But D&T is awesome! Really enjoyed this weekend!

I am thinking the Bend and Irvine shows get postponed. Gorge they pretty much needed to play due to all the people that traveled so far and were there for a long weekend. It would have been a hot mess otherwise. Carter and Stefan will not be able to play due to CDC guidelines by Friday. But what do I know? The WH really needs to make an announcement by tomorrow.

I agree. I think they need to do it today to be honest. There is so no way the band and promoter hasn't already been trying to figure this out.

They haven't. They plan to go ahead with the shows using the alternate format.

I agree. Given the situation and timing I see why they went ahead with the gorge and I am sure being there it was a blast but now they have time to change stuff if needed knowing people want a full band.

I don’t think there’s any way they continue this alternate format unless the same thing happens (people are already at the venue / traveled).

They don't want to have to reschedule dates, or change their itinerary, and they absolutely, positively, don't want to have to offer any refunds.


Besides, there are plenty of posts here and elsewhere mocking those who are complaining about the "alternate format." People think it's just fine and dandy.

The fact that they haven't made any statement regarding the Bend show is surprising (well, I guess not for DMB).

They should at least say something even if they don't know what is happening... "We are trying to figure out a way to make the Bend show go on, bare with us" or "Even if Carter/Stefan will not be able to make the show we will still play in an alternate format".

Having went to the Gorge I have zero desire to go to Irvine if Carter & Stefan are not there. I have 2 pit tickets I'd sell...but if they are going to wait to the last minute that sucks.

I think we’re going at this point. So I’m def gonna find some KBBQ after N1 regardless. I’m just gonna look forward to it no matter what.
