Friends and I periodically discuss how neat it was to be the last age group to not have smart phones growing up, no IG or bumble/ hinge in college, ect (I'm 31)

I can only imagine how cool it was following this band since inception, followed up a few year later with the internet making a debut for things like dmbml.

I always get a kick out of one of the early interviews where BT and Dave discuss fans "talking about them on computers, which neither of them have"

Maybe not the correct thread for this, but any related stories would be welcomed while killing time before the tour kicks off.

this is what I'm here for. Mine was tying up the family phone line while checking sets on this very site in '07 & '08 (well, mostly aol instant messenger). Not sure why I came here vs. almanac but I did.

You tell someone 10 years younger than me that you couldn't use a phone and internet at the same time and their mind would be blown.

I signed up here more than half a life ago. Strange to think that was almost nineteen years ago!

I came here alongside membership on the amidreaming.org boards - looking back at my posts as a young teen are rather painful to be sure!

Couldn't agree more! I signed up 18 years ago and am 37 now. I won't even go back and look at my old post anymore lol. I haven't posted in years, but I'm still lurkin' and still hittin' shows every year!!

I think I was 15 when I signed up and hadn't yet been introduced to Low - to be honest, I just thought it sounded cool then.

I haven't been to a show since '13 but it'd be nice to get back to one for sure! The cost has definitely exploded upwards though, and having kids now seems to put a damper on that kind of spending.

I've only been following since UTTAD came out, but it's been very bittersweet for me. There will always be a sense of "what could have been" with DMB for me, which is sad considering all the great music and memories.

been lurking since 2002, but joined in 2005. Does that count? I still visit every day mostly to read the nonsense of the Prompter Thread. I rarely post.

i haven't been to a show since 2007 and don't have the time to commit to dmb like i did in hs or college....but just wanted to get everyone's guess what percentage have been here for the long haul.

I check in about once or twice a year to see if there's anything interesting going on with new music. Generally speaking, too busy and diversified interests to pay much attention.

Headed to the show in ATX tonight, first show in 8 years. Pulled out my Summer 1999 t-shirt, just can't wear it though, it's too thick and boxy.
