An awesome watch. Very sad to see Tony Sirico pretty much completely out of it.

Great to see all of those actors together, but very much missing Jimmy Gandolfini.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show’s debut, Sepinwall and Seitz have reunited to produce The Sopranos Sessions, a collection of recaps, conversations, and critical essays covering every episode. Featuring a series of new long-form interviews with series creator David Chase, as well as selections from the authors’ archival writing on the series, The Sopranos Sessions explores the show’s artistry, themes, and legacy, examining its portrayal of Italian Americans, its graphic depictions of violence, and its deep connections to other cinematic and television classics.

That really is fucking awesome news and I'm sure very emotional for many of the people involved.

Really looking forward to this one, I really like all the castings so far...I remember the guy playing Dickie Moltisanti as Nick Cage's younger brother Pollox Troy in Face/Off, Vera Farmiga perfect as Livia Soprano, Cory Stoll as Uncle Ju and Jon Bernthal as Junior Boy.

David Chase expects a 2020 release date.

I'd almost be more excited to hear they've signed on to do two seasons with HBO.

Some things, a movie seems like too little of a good thing.

First season is an absolute snoozefest. zero memorable or exciting things transpire. The storyline involving Tony's mom is extremely boring

Steve Shurripa is hard to listen to, and Michael cares way too much about the independent film and off broadway careers of all the actors on the show. If it was 30 minutes shorter and they cut the fat out, it would be a lot better.

So I just finished the series again.

I was just reading something the other day and it brought up a good point about whether or not it’s Tony that dies at the end, or the viewer.

Chase was very deliberate about the the camera angles in that last scene at Holsten’s. The last shot when it cuts to black is looking AT Tony. It’s not from HIS POV.

I’m giving serious thought to it either being us, the viewer, or even Meadow. She’s the one running into Holsten’s and would have been looking directly at Tony as she entered based on where he was sitting.

Chase has come out and said Tony gets killed in the last scene pretty recently. It was pretty big news.

Sepinwall: When you said there was an end point, you don't mean Tony at Holsten's, you just meant, "I think I have two more years' worth of stories left in me."

Chase: Yes, I think I had that death scene around two years before the end ... Tony was going to get called to a meeting with Johnny Sack in Manhattan, and he was going to go back through the Lincoln Tunnel for this meeting, and it was going to go black there and you never saw him again as he was heading back, the theory being that something bad happens to him at the meeting. But we didn't do that.

Seitz: You realize, of course, that you just referred to that as a death scene.

    [A long pause follows]

    Chase: F--- you guys
