The Idea of You disc is dated 060522 (May 22, 2006, written on the actual CD), but the missing "third disc" is dated 060505 (May 5, 2006, printed on the jewel case insert with the 23-song tracklist). The one you're referring to is definitely a different disc.

It's possible that whoever bought these from the girl who sold them doesn't actually HAVE the "third disc." Maybe the Idea of You disc was inside the 5/5/06 disc's jewel case instead of the correct disc. Who knows. But it almost certainly exists SOMEWHERE.

That's certainly plausible. I am just saying I heard them from the original source and that was what happened. So whoever bought them from her wouldn't have the third disc either.

They did Shotgun too, I can't remember if they did Break Free in these sessions. GOD I would pay some good money to hear the Cavallo cuts of these songs.

I remember seeing that at some point but as far as I can tell there wasn't a producer in Haunted Hollow with them in 04. I'm just thinking between the Batson/SU sessions and Cavallo/BW sessions it seems like one of them would have given it a shot. Ya know? Even Good Good "prob never intended for a proper studio treatment" Time seems to have gotten a brief shot with Batson.

Ask, Situation, Early Home, Drive Me Away, ABC, Bullets & Rum, Red Glare, and Scream Into the Grave are all gems, and that's just the unheard stuff.

Break For it, KTK, Break Free, Shotgun all gems as well.

I didn't hate Come Tomorrow like a lot of people did on here but I can't believe there are people that prefer CT to these sessions.

Agreed. Even in such early and raw form, I still prefer the majority of the BS tracks to the CT songs. With that said, I've come around a bit more on VITR (which IMO is easily the best studio track from CT) and She.

You guys can’t believe that there’s people who enjoy a fully produced and mastered record over a bunch of in progress studio demos? There’s some really good song writing going on in these sessions, and some of the recordings are really good. But most of it is hardly finished and some of it is seriously not good. Come Tomorrow is a much more accomplished feat for the band than these scrapped sessions.

Yeah, I’m in the Batson Session raw non-mastered/produced to CT camp. I couldn’t even tell you the last time I listened to CT. Have no plans to change that.

After the first week I haven't listened to this. Some good stuff, but I prefer CT. I enjoy all of CT except for the title track.

Finished/not finished, mastered/not mastered... whatever. I prefer good songs over shitty songs, and there are more good songs in this collection than on Come Tomorrow.

I haven’t listened to either after their first week of release/leak. I guess if I had to marry one and kill one I’d kill CT though.

My feelings exactly.

VITR and maybe A&A are really the only 2 tunes off CT I can 100% say are better than the leaks. Everything else, is suspect.

I still think a significant amount of the tBS sounds like songs that would have fit on SU (or even ED). More simplistic tunes that are less unique and/or interesting than the music I most love from the band. Which makes the love they're getting all the more strange to me, as most people say they hate SU.

It's not all bad, but it's not all amazing stuff. This still doesn't compare to the material from tLWS that passed over to bring us ED. Not even close.
