Best DMBLive 1994-1996 - Antsmarching.org Forums

What do you all consider to be the essential DMBLive releases from 1994-1996? And by essential, I'm basically looking for things that aren't already fairly well-represented in the Live Trax Series.

Obviously the Academy show, and I'm picking up at least one of the 1994 shows that feature Get In Line (probably Georgia Theater). Anything Dave & Tim I'm getting. What else do you consider to be good/essential releases from the 1994-1996 time period?

Tampa ‘94 and Cameron Indoor ‘95 are both stellar. I really enjoy the D&T ‘93 show too, although if I could only have one D&T from this series it would be the Boone ‘03 show.

4/5/95 and 4/7/95 are two essentials. 3/26/94 and 2/25/95 as well.

2/22/94 was a pretty big show for the band at the time, that's a good one to check out.

I have all of the full band DMBLive shows, and one of my absolute favorites in this series is 2.25.95.

My favorites are:

- 2.22.1994 (Trax)
- 4.06.1994 (Georgia Theatre)
- 11.26.1994 (Backstage Theatre)
- 4.07.1995 (Cameron Stadium)

Trax is overall a great show
Georgia Theatre has the rare Me & Her
Backstage Theatre has one of my favorite Get In Lines (probably my favorite DMBLive overall)
Cameron Stadium has a great early #41 (possibly the first one? don't quote me on that)

Tampa. Can't emphasize it enough. Unreal show. Good quality too. It's very unique in the sense that a lot of the harmonies Carter does are loud and clear. It adds an interesting dynamic.

I get them confused often to be honest. They're both great.

I believe the Orange one (4.06.94?) has Me & Her, and is an overall great show - so I'd vote that one.

In honor of the band's return to MSG later this month, I finally bought the '96 MSG N1 show the other day and it is awesome!

IMO, just okay. The Seek Up and Watchtower (w/ BH) are pretty good. I much prefer Frank Erwin to Oak Mountain, though.

hard to say, i just felt that they were really on for this show - though you can pretty much say that about any 95 show. but i thought Boyd was a standout in this one - True Reflections and Nancies stick out the most. And if you like to actually hear Stefan, he's in full force for this one, right from the get go with Seek Up. Plus, there's a cool version of WWYS ("not a mother fuckin' thing").

Sometimes there are just show that you enjoy more than other but can't really say why. This is one of them for me.

frank irwin has one of the best nancies i've heard, roi does a lot of underplaying that's great

masquerade ballroom? is a very solid release that sounds fantastic

have to assume they fall in those years listed
