The Will call and parking bs doesn't surprise me. Palace entertainment, across the board, is a complete joke.

As a competitor, Olympia entertainment is much better but palace owns the better outdoor spaces that people will go to regardless of how they are operated.

Yeah I thought Virginia is fine in E1. To go slow at that part is totally fine for me. I get Shake Me is an energy song but we missed Rapunzel 2 years ago and we've had Shake Me a few times, including last year. My buddy asked why I was leaving, I was like I've heard it a bunch and I need to work tomorrow. I looked and I've seen it 5 times out of 8 shows since Big Whiskey came out. Eh well. I got out early cause of it and am thankful for that. I'm dying right now and sitting in that parking lot even longer would have made it worse.

Tim solo on 41 was nice but Boyd's solo seemed cut drastically. Not sure what happened there .

Nicely done! The parking there is always bad, but last night was easily the worst I've been involved in. The people working the will call windows were friendly and fast (at least the woman who helped me was), but the problem was that there were only four windows for HUNDREDS of people. And who knows how many people cut in line like the guy behind me.

I know you weren't. But out of all those songs, which has the biggest chance of being played? Most of those tunes are kinda complicated and seem to be in the rarity category.

Not sure how you couldn't notice that.

I don't much expect to hear anything specific when I go to these shows. Sure I have songs I'd want to hear (still patiently waiting on my first Rapunzel) but I go in expecting nothing. If a whole album isn't represented, I'm sure it's just a weird coincidence that one of the tunes didn't come up. (Though, we got The Stone last year which was sweet). I'm sure the band doesn't think of the songs "by album" when they're deciding what to play.

It'd be like going to Springsteen and getting nothing from born to run, or U2 with nothing from Joshua tree

Perhaps, but those are different acts with a more static setlist. They mix it up but there's songs you know will be there. DMB is a different cat. Crash is probably their biggest song and I've heard it once in like the seven shows I've seen. I know that's what they are. Maybe it's the "Phish fan" mentality in me to not expect a single song...I'm just going to hear them play...they're a ridiculously talented band...they could go and do a jazz revue and I'd dig it.

Which time? I walked in at 7:10ish and it was pretty small.

I hate judging a show only by setlist, but I like the DTE setlist more.

I try not to think too much about what another show in another state gets. I mean if we got Blossom's set instead of ours it would have 11 repeats from the 2014 DTE show and DMB has done a good job of not repeating much year to year for us. We had only a total of 3 repeats from last year to this year. Plus, hate to keep saying it, but no Be Yourself. Sure there were some songs I would have wanted (although if you are looking at no repeats from last year, then only a few)but it is what it is.

First time in four years we aren't doing this trip. Off to alpine in a couple weeks, instead. This will probably be our last DMB two night stand (unless they ever do one at pine knob which is extremely doubtful).

Finally getting around to commenting on this show. I think I have the same thoughts as many that were... show me the setlist before hand and I would've been trying to sell my tickets, but I had a really good time at this show. 8 songs I had previously not seen live is pretty crazy. The acoustic set was nowhere near as good as last year, but it was enjoyable. Minarets was an awesome way to start the electric set and John Popper guesting on WWYS was great. I didn't mind having the LLs on the three songs they guested on (although I was hoping for BOWA) and Jimi w/o SMF outro was actually enjoyable. Only two complaints I have are Shake Me closer and that it took an hour to get out of the lots because I got stuck way in the back corner. Not the best set, but a fun show.

Anybody download both bootlegs on DT? Which one would you suggest?

6 years ago, today. Very Big Whiskey heavy but the material was fresh. Only buzz kill was the encore. Otherwise, very nice, fun show. TD of Warehouse and we just missed the Shotgun TD by a show or two:
