Less than a 1/4 mile. Everything is all pretty close in Montreal. Even Old Montreal which is awesome is only 1/2 mile or so from the Bell.

Holy shit, the man with the cooler! Sorry, horrible with names. So much fun at those shows, as is always the case so many cool people and so little time to chill with everyone.

What's your plan for Montreal? Staying up or driving back post show? Are you headed up early in the day? GA tix?

But seriously - here are 2 places that I've been to frequently in past but not in the last 15 years. We may hit Bar B Barn before the show and will have lunch at Schwartz's on Thursday.

    http://www.barbbarn.ca/eng/home.htm

    http://schwartzsdeli.com/ca/en/

Having said that, you can't swing a dead cat in Montreal without hitting pay dirt. Crescent Street after the show would be good and if you're inclined, the ballet will not disappoint. Or so I'm told.

We are staying the night. Not sure exactly when we are headed up...... Yes on the GA. Hoping that GA was not a mistake there. I'm not sure what to expect for the crowd. I'm not one to get there hrs ahead of time just to get within 25 ft of the rail. I'm hoping to find a decent spot on the floor.

Did anyone know about that Visa Infinite pre-show w/Dave? Just saw it about 6 hours too late, but hadn't heard anything beforehand...would have easily paid, especially given my floor ticket was around $90.

This exclusive event has sold out, but we'd love to see you at the next one.

Visa Infinite cardholders can get Up Close & Personal with iconic musician Dave Matthews for an exclusive pre-show event.

Join Dave Matthews for an intimate conversation about his passions, from clean water to great music.

Gain access to this exclusive experience, complete with a pre-show meet and mingle with Dave Matthews, catering, special merchandise package and premium seating for the Dave Matthews Band concert on July 22nd, 2015 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.

    Included in this experience:

Meet & mingle with Dave Matthews
    Artist merchandise gift
Premium concert seating in lower bowl (Section 102)
    Pre-show catering
    Pre-Show begins at 4:00 PM

    Concert begins at 7:00 PM

Price of this offer: $100.00 per ticket plus applicable taxes.

I have an extra GA floor ticket for sale for the Montreal show. Purchased it through WH though it is a Bell Centre ticket (kind of strange).
$80.00 Cdn, which is less than what I paid.
    Payment by Paypal required
You pay for any shipping cost.
I will be at the Toronto show and in Montreal before the show where we can meet up to get you the ticket if you want to save on shipping.
Send me a PM, or email me: adavis@davisbarristers.com

I just dont think im gonna be able to. I wouldn't get there till 630 (or later if I hit any traffic at all), parking, etc...and I would have to drive home post show and work the next morning.

Honestly not expecting many people..There were about 7k there outside at Jean Drapeau last time the band was here...I can't imagine many more this time around given the show is indoors and the band has become less popular. So, to answer your question, I think there will be a ton of great spots on the floor. I don't plan on getting there before 6.

Thanks for the info! Let's hope we get a great set in Montreal. I just went to SPAC for N1 and although there's nothing like the atmosphere at SPAC the set was mediocre. N2 got an amazing show!

Really too bad. My floor ticket w/fees, etc. was $95. For $20 more (tax-in) you get to meet Dave, sit in the reds, and eat catered food before the show...prettay prettay prettay good.

Not sure if this show will be taped. Hopefully it is, but just in case I'm gonna try to record the show using my iPhone and post the videos on YouTube. It will be better than nothing.

What's great brewery to stop at downtown or Old Montreal? Not looking for Les 3 brasseurs. Something that's not a chain would be preferable.

Thanks in advance and enjoy the show!!!!

^Dieu Du Ciel is great (they collaborated with The Alchemist to make their own version of Heady Topper), but far from the venue. Not too many breweries in MTL....our craft selection pales in comparison to the states, where you're used to 40 beers on tap...you'll see the same 5-10 garbage ones on tap here at 99% of places..Molson, Rickards, etc, especially around that area. You'll find more craft beers in the Plateau area, such as Saint Denis. Nevertheless, I guess I would also recommend Le Saint Bock (which is a little closer than Dieu, located at Saint Denis and Sherbrooke) but it's still rather far from the venue...so a bit closer would be Benelux, which is Sherbrooke and Parc-ish, but would still be approx 15 min walk from the Bell Center. Hope that's somewhat helpful.

Thanks! I had seen Dieu Du Ciel online and it looks great! We may drive there in the afternoon to check it out and then find something closer to the Bell later on.

What do you know about Brasseurs De Montreal in Old Montreal? Its on Rue Berri? We are staying at the Embassy Suites not far from there so I thought about walking down.
