Yup. It's good, not a good as seasons prior though.

So, the limited series X-Files revival a couple years ago on the whole just sucked out loud (with spotty moments of okay or even kinda good few and far between). This new "season 11" that's got 10 episodes to it, apparently the premiere aired last night and it's just more of the same all over again. I haven't watched yet but I'm hearing the resolution to that Scully cliffhanger they did at the end of ep6 in the revival is like groan-inducing.

christ I'm not sure if I even wanna bother watching these newest ones. But at least Gillian Anderson's been smart enough to say she's unequivocally done with the series, for good. If they wanted to stretch out this revival, she won't be involved. I mean it's been so obvious that Chris Carter had to just think up a bunch of new shit out of thin air but that still weaves in correctly to the classic mythology, and it was a trainwreck.

I liked the movie they did with Jim Carrey several years ago alright enough, but never have wound up checking out this NPH reboot of it yet.

Show is best when each episode is a one-off story. Ever since they've gone full-on cigarette man/conspiracy/Scully baby story line the show sucks. The premiere was terrible. Mulder's thought narration was really bad.

Just finished the first episode of Letterman's new show. Really great. I didn't realize that they aren't releasing each episode all at once.

I just started Peaky Blinders about a week and a half ago, I've been binging it so much it's to the point now where last night I heard Arthur's voice in my dreams. What I dreamt I heard went something like "Mumble, mumble, something, fucking, something, something, mumble mumble, fucking cunt, mumble mumble fucking hell, something, something, fuck mumble"

Agreed, soundtrack is fantastic. Just started season 4, Adrien Brody's wannabe Don Corleone accent is fucking god awful. He can't die soon enough just so I don't have to hear him talk anymore.

Okay, what was the deal with that show? I recall watching the first episode as well. Is the season just out now or was it out and went away? I can't recall.

All of S1 has been out for a little while. It's just that the pilot came out well in advance of the rest of the show. Think they wanted to see how the pilot would do before they ordered the remainder of the season.

so originally Sneaky Pete was set to be a network television show on CBS - and the pilot episode was filmed as such. But then Amazon picked it up, and the rest of the episodes were filmed more like an HBO/Showtime show, aka it gets much darker in tone, etc. Great show. the finale episode was one of my favorite episodes of tv last year.
