Welp, just about the worst combo possible out of the four teams that were left. I knew the Pats were going to win but it would’ve been nice to at least see my wife’s Vikes get a shot to win it all at home. They just didn’t show up at all. That pick six changed the entire game, like a switch went on with the home crowd which never went off.

There were a few moments in the second half when you thought maybe Minn was about to mount a comeback but they never materialized. If they could’ve scored the first time they went down instead of getting strip sacked then a little doubt might have crept into Philly and who knows from there. Props to the Iggles though, that was a dominant performance, really did not see that coming at all and quite frankly didn’t know they were capable of that kind of game.

Philly's good. Absolutely no surprise to me if they handle NE.

Pats are a well coached team. 1 penalty is unacceptable. BB will be working them hard this week

Pats got a gift PI call but the refs were not even close to being the difference in that game.

Jags' lack of experience in that sort of spot was so apparent. Classic case of playing not to lose. Combine that with Brady/Belichek's ridiculous track record and it was inevitable that the Pats would win.

Always tough with screenshots/still images on those types of things.

Generally speaking though hands to the face only really gets called where it's egregious and the guy is basically stiff-arming the other guy's facemask straight up toward the sky. Holding gets called sometimes where it's only a split-second grab but nevertheless impedes the defenders' ability to move past the block.

I actually thought both games were very well-officiated, besides that PI call against the Jags.

If that PI call where Cooks literally got shoved out of bounds is the only gripe then I’d say the refs did a decent job.

Disagree on the PI, there was a lot of back and forth hand fighting going on and he sort of just ran Cooks out of bounds. Don't think it should have been called but with the amount of contact I understand why it was, just don't think it was a good call.

too many teams think they can go into 4min offense against the pats with 10+min left.

Yep and to their credit the Pats' D always seems to stand tall in those spots to give the offense the shot to complete their inevitable comeback.

I was being a little bit tongue and cheek.

    But, there’s definitely a streak.

    https://www.sbnation.com/platform/am...jerseys-streak

So much so that the 2005 Steelers And 2015 broncos chose to wear white despite being the designated home team.

Although I highly doubt BB buys into any of that nonsense.

The only nonsense BB buys into is that he will never wear a red hoodie in the Super Bowl again

This. The jags offense became too vanilla and they stopped getting positive first down yardage. Patriots d really stepped up and made great adjustments. They won the game and the Jags played not to lose just like most teams when they get a lead against the Pats. I never said the refs caused the Jags to lose.
