There is SO much room for improvement in regards to the DMV. I'd love to see state's develop apps that could greatly reduce a lot of this red tape non-sense. Specifically in my case, tell me that It'd be better to get those extra documents together to transition to the Real ID as opposed to having to make an additional trip.
They could make available a dashboard of your DL info, driving record, etc... all right on your phone. I know insurance companies are moving that way, which is nice. If I have my phone, I have my vehicle insurance proof available as opposed to the paper in the glove box, which could be expired if I'm not paying attention.
