Completely different scenarios. I don't sign anything when I walk into a bakery. If the baker had a sign up on his wall that said "we reserve the right to deny service based on our religious beliefs" then I would expect that baker to make decisions based on the stated policy. I’m pretty sure you can’t put up a sign that says it’s your policy to discriminate against people and expect it to be all good.

My belief is that these companies have been hesitant to strictly enforce their terms of service up until now because they fear the backlash they would receive from right-wing media and their followers. That is the end of the political spectrum where most of the controversial subject matter is originating from so there exists a misperception on the right that they are being 'targeted' when it's just how things balance out in our current climate.

If it takes public pressure for them to enforce their own rules then so be it. If they don't like it then they should change their rules.

I hear you. I think it helps to separate government censorship from private companies enforcing rules that they created for themselves.

The China case is an interesting one in that it is a private company designing a version of their product due to a government policy of censorship. China's human rights policies (free expression included) continue to be concerning.

The case he won in SCOTUS was because the Colorado Civil Rights Commission overstepped. The decision was 7-2 and was a narrow decision, not to be applied to other cases of similar nature and not weighing in explicitly on anti-discrimination/freedom of speech or religion.

Your clarification are good ones but he still was not compelled to make the cake.
