Not even about morals to me. I'm well aware an eye for an eye in this context is, at least in our society, immoral.

But nobody will change my mind that this guy doesn't deserve to suffer even a fraction of what that girl had to, and forever will, because of him.

Call me a bad person, sure, maybe it'll be my tragic flaw in some way. But my mind won't be changed. Fuck people who do horrific shit like this.

Another example of the this strategery: a) claim a problem exists b) do things that make the problem appear to be getting worse c) claim you and only you have the solution to the problem d) declare victory.

The truth is all they have done is kick the proverbial can down the road. Instead of taking a look at the reasons people wish to cross the border and putting a system in place to humanely handle the situation all this solution does is place more people in danger.

But of course you buy the tag line coming from the White House.

Concerns I have is how long will Mexico ramp up enforcement on the southern border (band aid on a bullet hole?). Also, will the additional money and resources Mexico spends.on this mean that life gets worse for Mexicans and we see more Mexicans come to the border.

Getting what you want through "sticks" isn't great for long term success and will more likely have more unintended consequences than if you balance it out with some "carrots"
