come to think of it, isn't that what a normal show ticket pays for now anyway?

This sparked a thought for me... the cost of 2 tickets nowadays is about a week's worth of salary for what I was making when I first saw the band.

    Let You Down
    You Never Know
    The Dreaming Tree
    Blue Water (w/ Baboon Farm)

Edit: Voted 2 weeks, but changed to 1 month once I realized how awesome this would actually be.

    - You Never Know
    - Monkey Man
    - Let You Down
    - Kit Kat Jam (w/ lyrics)
    - Loving Wings (want to hear Jeff Coffin go all out on this one and RR isn't allowed to partake)

That will be a fun conversation with the band. I want these five songs. Rashawn, you have to sit down for this one. No playing for you.

This is actually accurate for me as well. Back in 2001 I was 16 and I think I was making about $8 an hour part time working about 15-20 hours a week in high school. So that's like $120-$160 a week and I just checked and the ticket was $48.50 so with fees that is about right. Ouch...

    1 week's pay:

    The Last Stop
    Drive In, Drive Out
    The Best of What's Around
    Cry Freedom
    Let You Down

    Spoon just misses the cut.

Right, something I'm only comfortable asking for over the internet. . Can't imagine that conversation/request in person.

Is there anyone willing to give up a family member for the opportunity to write an entire setlist? Poll?

Like DMBFam or like real fam? Cause I would be willing to get rid of a few DMBFam folks in exchange for a hot parking lot beer.

With proper planning, maybe a month's worth.

    I'd want:
    The Stone
    #34
a full length, full band, fully jammed out Blue Water
    Dreams Of Our Fathers
    Trouble With You.

I'd also ask if Dave could surprise us with who they can get as guest(s) on DOOF with a month's worth of prep.

Considering I wouldn’t be willing to pay what a VIP ticket costs for this, I guess I’d have to go with nothing. Although I’d pay a week’s salary to rent a time machine and go back and see the original 5.

Damn! Forgot about 'Trouble With You'. You don't want Monkey Man instead of The Stone? The Stone is played a like every show, it seems anyways.

Edit: Looking at Dmbalmanac, The Stone is hardly played

Seeing that The Stone is my all-time favorite DMB song, and it currently only gets a small handful of plays the past 3-4 tours and it's not a sure thing, then sure I'd want it added, and everyone in attendance would thank me for having Dave add it.

I would prefer them in order for some reason, but 2 weeks salary.

I can only think of 3 songs I'd actually pay substantially more than regular ticket prices to hear live:

    The Stone
    Typical Situation
    JTR

I'll add one more that borders the pay to hear category: BOWA

Lastly, I'd want them to play this:

This surprises me a little. From what I have seen you tend to go to a decent amount of shows. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the above 4 songs, however, I figured someone who had been to so many shows would want to see the super rare stuff like I do that just never occurs. I've got 10 Stones, 7 Typicals and 3 JTRs. You don't have a white whale?

Thanks, but not my favorite. The benchmark for Loving Wings for me has always been the Gorge 02 DVD version (N2, not N1). I think that Gorge '15 version just lacks energy (likely due to acoustic set) from Carter and both RR & JC.

I guess Let You Down. It would have to be in true form though, not the acoustic shortened version Dave played a couple of years ago.

I've only been going to shows since 2008, and I've been fortunate enough to hear every song on Busted Stuff, BTCS, CT, AFTW and R2T live. The songs off the other studio albums I've never heard live are limited to:

    Baby Blue
    Smooth Rider
    Angel
    Fool to Think
    I Did It
    If I Had It All
    Mother Father
    Let You Down
    34

I do really enjoy FTT and IIHIA, so maybe I'd swap them in, but not sure I'd give up hearing the 3 or 4 other songs I mentioned, which are pretty consistently in my top 5, to hear them. Up and Away is another song I haven't heard live (I did not count Dave solo songs in my above list) and I love that song also, but again not sure I'd give up my favorites. Sweet Up and Down is another one, but I don't particularly love the sound of that song live.

The last major chase I had was Cortez and I crossed that off my list at MSG. If it means anything, I generally go into shows hoping I get JTR, The Stone, and Typical and I don't even think about the songs I haven't heard live. I guess that's why I leaned towards those 3 in my initial post.

The meet-and-greet, with signatures, is more attractive to me than picking the five songs.

I've hit everyone on your list but MF and Let You Down. #34 is the only one I really I care about that. I heard it with Roi back in 2005 though which to me is entirely different than getting it now (no offense to Jeff). You've definitely been lucky overall I seem to be missing one song per album and it's always annoyed me. Such is life though.

I will say, Any show with those 3 songs in it is going to be a great show. I would never complain about that. I just was surprised I didn't see anything off the wall rare. I guess I am more in the minority than I realized though in wanting to see them pull out old rarities/B-sides.

Is there an easy way to check what songs we haven't seen? I've seen #34 twice (is this an accomplishment?) , and would've been a third time if I committed to the NV show last year.

If it was DMB circa 2003/2004, I’d do a week’s salary.

    I’d go with:

    The Stone
    The Last Stop
    JTR
    Drive Me Away
    Spoon

Three day's worth of salary. I rounded up to one week, though.
