You’ve conflated the government taking care of all Americans and corporations (profits) as far as I can tell which I don’t think most people think are one in the same.
I’m down with universal healthcare, a social safety net, closing private and corporate tax loopholes, and getting special interest money out of politics.
I’m not down for villianizing corporate America though in the slightest. Don’t blame companies for paying no taxes, blame out elected officials. Don’t blame corporations for incentives to move to this city or that. If you don’t like it, blame the officials that offered them.
Don’t blame companies for not helping a cities poor, or for causing housing prices to rise. It’s not their job to do these things.
So much scapegoating going on right now, and I see it happening on the left.
Corporations aren’t evil, that’s nuts. And if you think so then so be it, your lost. Most people agree this is the engine that drives our country and that we’ve all benefited from. And don’t want us going backwards.
This corporate hatred being sown right now by the left is complete garbage and utterly juvenile. The very people allowing it to happen are the ones responsible.
