Don’t sleep on 6.5.15’s acoustic set or 7.29.15’s acoustic set. Sure, I’m biased because I was at both shows, but both were bangers outside of the baffling decision to close the 6.5.15 acoustic set with You & Me.

To dispel an assumption I saw in here last night, I notice a marked increase in young/attractive women at SPAC shows compared to my other regular stops like Mansfield and Hartford. My $.02, safe to assume their presence is not very prevalent in pit and lower level seating.

I was at 6.5.15. There was an audible groan when You and Me started.

They got really creative with some of those encores in 2015. I say Minarets > Halloween at Jones Beach, no one was expecting that.

well yeah, those areas trend older. I would say the average age in a DMB pit area nowadays is 40 or so.

For sure, I just thought it was funny to see the “sausage fest” comments when back reading last night when I was thinking quite the contrary (quietly and respectfully) to myself multiple times last night.

Bristow is also an older crowd. Lots of demure middle-aged folks there.

Love that cover. I was never a fan of how slow the Dead tended to play it live, but DMB's tempo was perfect. Dave, Boyd, and Bela were great on it.

Very shocked there wasn't a double encore and they ended at 10:30....it was a 9/10. Probably the best main set I've ever seen.

Goes to show the lasting effect an encore/closer can have on the show as a whole. Best show someone who started seeing the band in ‘14 can ever hope to see so I’m happy and I’ll be back next year; was just one song away from being in the discussion for best 4.0 show so far.

Shake Me should just never close. It just doesn’t work. It doesn’t have that send off moment that Dave apparently thinks it has.

I'm guessing that the SPAC N2 Shotgun mini-tease will play out within the next few shows, just to taunt those who were at SPAC. I would hope to be a beneficiary at Holmdel. Assuming they'll treat these next two shows as a two night run.

The noodling before Squirm almost seems like a new idea or something. The chords did not match up (to my ear at least) with anything he has played publicly on the Veillette. I would love for it to be some new song we have not heard, bc by and large that guitar has produced some awesome music thus far
