EDIT- personally i'd do Camden x2. do you really want to deal with the bullshit of the GA field at Hershey only to see 8 songs you saw at Camden anyway? at least Camden x2 you'll get more of a mix. and you won't be pissed off about missing the rare stuff they play N1, like BOWA and Raven last year.

I seriously pay the extra money to park on the other side of the river, and take the ferry over. A lot easier in which you don't have to deal with the assholes. You might have to wait for a ferry, but no way would I park my car in that parking lot.

i'm going to SPAC this year and its 3.5 hours away. and then i realized Hartford is only 3 hours away and i thought "why the hell haven't i been to Hartford yet??"

i don't know how the hell you do that. last year i tried the ferry and i waited in line for an HOUR AND A HALF and thats after leaving during Time Bomb. the next night i parked in the venue lot. i stayed the entire show and got out so fast that 2 cars in front of me the police stopped traffic to let the tour busses get on the highway. i was basically dead even with the band coming out. i will NEVER do the ferry again. it was god awful.

I read somewhere about a subway/trolley system that allows you to park at a remote location and travel via rail to the venue. Anyone have any idea what i am talking about?

We take a cab over from Philly. Well we did last year anyways.

Hey guys. I don't post really on the boards (more of a browser). Anway, my dad told me yesterday that the tour dates were announced and this year N2 falls on my younger brother's 17th birthday. I usually go with the g/f and a bunch of our friends to at least one show but for the past two shows my brother has tagged along as well. We're thinking about just turning the whole day into a gigantic birthday party. My mom's dream is to hold up a banner that says its my brother's birthday in hopes that Dave would say happy birthday. (I told her that might piss off everyone behind us though) Anyway, bottom line is that I've been on youtube all night just watching various live performances and I want July to be here NOW!

Sorry for the long post. I figured this would be the best forum to share my enthusiasm. Hope everyone gets tickets and has a great time!

How do you get back? I assume getting a cab back to Philly after the show would be problematic as well.
Best solution is to park strategically(close to an exit in whatever lot you are in) and hustle on the way out. I have waited 90minutes to get out of Campbells Lot years ago, but have cut it down to less than 20 minutes with a few minor adjustments.

I went last year for N2, and my experience was great. I don't remember what the lot I parked in was called, but I know they were sending some cars to the left and some to the right, and we went to the left. Ended up in a big warehouse type building. After the concert we got out fairly quickly; it wasn't bad. On the way in there was a pretty long wait, but that's to be expected.

As for the concert itself, I was on the lawn with my brother and a friend. We braced for the worst, having heard a bunch of lawn horror stories, but it turned out fine. Found a nice spot pretty close to the front of the lawn, a little right of center. We had space to move around a little bit, the volume was plenty loud enough thanks to the speakers on the overhang, and we could watch the action on the screens. Setlist was great. There were of course occasional disturbances from drunk dancers or whatever, but overall I was pleasantly surprised.

Really excited to go back, and I'll probably end up going for cheap lawn tickets again.

We just grabbed a cab back real quick after the show. You have to get lucky thankfully we did.

I mean they switched from Nissan to Nats Park this year, and they had been playing at Nissan since it opened. . . . I am going to do my best to get tickets to both nights, and I was already thinkin about goin to Troy.

I have always wanted to see Dave on the 4th. Although if that happens, I will most likely not remember anything, and blow off my hand with some fireworks. :-X

I went to hartford n1 last year, but that was when i had a gf, and we had seen dave play for free at Rocky plaza. so we just decided to go up and watch again. 95 traffic was awful and we ended goin backroads lookin at some huge castle-mansions . . . . it was alright, and the setlist was decent, but i wouldnt go back there considering its like 8 hours for me

Well PATCO (www.ridepatco.org) runs from NJ in Philly (only goes to 15/16th and Locust St) and back again (I take it every day). You can get off at City Hall (in camden) and transfer to the Riverline (www.njtransit.com). It drops you right in front of the venue. It just depends on where you are staying and if you wanted to tailgate or bar it, cuz you can't bring much with you on the riverline (unless you are meeting up with friends and can store your stuff with them). Its a bit of a clusterfuck boarding the train after the show its super crowed, but what isn't after a show right? Hope this helps!

You gotta go with PATCO. You can pick it at 8th & Market. Takes you to within a 5 minute walk to the venue. Better than the ferry. Never again will I wait in the effin line.

Even if you don't go with the riverline, the walk isn't bad. When we left N2 last year, we asked about the riverline waiting out front. The cop said go ahead and get on they don't check tickets.

We go to dinner/drinks downtown Philly and catch the PATCO @ 8th and Market.

wowo you have a tour set of this year huh your really hitting up Alpine and Gorge? thats nuts we might try and do the SPAC, Camden,Bethel, Scranton run and then Nationals PArk and thats it for my friends but i might be heading down to WEst PALM to finish off the tour. and hopefully the Phish dates will fit in there somewhere!
