are there any real rumors for this (yes, I know these rumors come up every year because I'm alive and I know how to read)? I have some family out in Denver and want one of you super cool insiders to give me some real info. This is probably too much to ask, but don't want to buy a bunch of tickets to other shows if someone has some real info out there! Also, anyone else just hoping that 3 of those 40 days off are gonna be filled with this stop?

I would hate having to deal with the number of douchebags that would attend the show because it is in Boulder. Also stadium shows are not that great...I went to Soldier Field back in the day and it wasn't a great experience. And lastly, would they be able to sell beer in the stadium?

For what its worth... Denver Post Music Blog (Reverb) just replied to me and said "No word yet, but hearing rumblings of a 2 or 3 day late summer run. Possibly Red Rocks or Dick's".

dbags are everywhere everywhere. i dont think beer would be sold in the stadium, unless youre in a expensive box. beer isnt sold there during football games, and wasnt for the 2001 show if i remember correctly

Yep. I got it too. Mine have always said 10-12. Also got a push for Counting Crows on April 19. And that concert was officially announced today.

probably just another hopeful fan adding fake dates to a website anyone can edit. I wish they would just stop. This isn't happening!

I hope this happens, It would be my only chance to see DMB. I was thinking of booking my hotel room and then I could cancel if it doesn't happen (Coming from MN). Where is the best place to stay? Any Advice or tips?

I have a hotel booked at the Days Inn in Golden, very easy drive about 10 minutes from the venue. Stayed there last summer for Dispatch and it was affordable and clean.

that goes for the rest of august as well.

again that's as of today... hopefully things change.

look for another act from across the way to come to town during that timeframe though!

I still have hope for something in CO in August. Nothing solid at all just a few emails from KBCO and rumors. Might be wishful thinking but I think Dicks is still in play. The Colorado promoter promised Dicks And commerce city he would put something there in place of the old Mile High music fest.

Why Don Strasburg doesn't lie. However, he doesn't say DMB is not coming. He just says Songkick is wrong. I still think they're going to work something out with Dick's.

I don't have evidence either way, but I'm hopeful. My evidence is simply: they released A LOT of dates in a lot of popular markets with this brand new premium ticket at EVERY venue, which in my opinion was in hope to financially strap the fans, thus allowing the denver and surrounding markets legit access to the tickets. Now, I am not sure how or when the '98 and '05 shows were announced but I can say that since 2005 the concert market has grown SIGNIFICANTLY. (please dont give me this recession crap, the pure exisitance and emergance of main-stay and new music festivals is proof) The reality is people/concert goers are more willing to travel. THAT is why as much as we'd all like to believe that DMB wants ALL of us at EVERY show, they know its not true and we should too. My reference for example is the WRIGLEY FIELD shows. I can't even count how many minutes, hours, days I spent scowering the internet searching for any shread of PROOF that these shows were happening. By the beginning of june, I was pretty disheartened but still slightly confident as per the rumors were just NOT dying. I forced myself come to the conclusion that they were happening and I just needed to be patient and save my money. THOSE shows were announced FRIDAY JULY 2ND!!! hardly enough time (for me) to pull together enough money to request tickets as I was at alpine valley that weekend for who? dmb. they waited to the last POSSIBLE second to give THAT market one last chance to think about spending a butt load money at alpine or to make sure alpine sells before people abandon it for wrigley. thats a basic marketing tactic designed not necessarily play games with the fans but to REACH A MUCH BROADER SPECTRUM OF FANS, OTHER THAN US DIE-HARDS.

another piece of evidence thats no co-inky-dink. that tour logo. how can anyone let that tour logo go? its the same as the red rocks 2005 poster!!!!!!!

my statement to the nay-sayers: I don't know you or your sources, so I wont bother debating the vaildity. HOWEVER, my theory is you and your sources are on here killing rumors, in hopes of getting people to buy tickets in their own markets. makes sense. if you dispell the rumors, then theres the possibility at least a few more tickets opening up for you and yours, right? I dont blame you. I want tickets too. Sometimes I dont even tell my own friends about shows that are ANNOUNCED, because I dont want them buying MY tickets. hahaha. its true. examples: eric claptons crossroads festival and rock and roll hall of fame induction ceremony. I'm not accusing. just saying. Its pretty obvious that there will be SOMETHING in colorado. when was the last time dave didnt play chicago, minnesota, colorado, all in the same year? those are pretty big markets.

I' m not saying its going to be red rocks, but if it wasnt, I'm sure they would have just announced it with the rest of the dates, I mean whats the big deal about holding back on DICK'S SPORTING GOODS PARK?

either way, I hope this brought some hope to some ants. I'm NOT giving up hope. if it happens I. WILL. BE. THERE. I dont care if I have to pay $1000 a ticket to some asshole on stubhub. obviously I dont WANT to but I will because dispatch last year was amazing and I refuse to rob myself of that memory. theres no price tag for that.

shoutout to nieds0505...i was staying at the days inn @ golden too. crazy.

my statement to the nay-sayers: I don't know you or your sources, so I wont bother debating the vaildity.

WILL. BE. THERE. I dont care if I have to pay $1000 a ticket to some asshole on stubhub. obviously I dont WANT to but I will because dispatch last year was amazing and I refuse to rob myself of that memory. theres no price tag for that.

shoutout to nieds0505...i was staying at the days inn @ golden too. crazy.
For the same reason they did at Wrigley. It is a big venue and would be 2-3 nights. That would change a lot of people in the miswest plans for travel if they knew it was going to happen.

^ sorry...that doesnt sell me. you cant compare wrigley and dicks. i wouldnt travel for dicks but i certainly would wrigley, red rocks, jones beach, golden gate park, central park, fenway park, yankee stadium, lambeau field, soldier field...im sorry but the iconicness of those venues wont ever compare to dicks sporting goods park.

I don't find Dick's compelling to travel to at all and I'm in Utah which would make for a cheaper and shorter trip for me. I am currently planning on the Gorge and will change to Red Rocks if it happens, but I would not change my plans for Dick's.
