Really enjoyed this show. Acting and character development were both on point. Had the "binge factor" for me as I watched it in two sittings without intending to finish it that fast.
As for Barb, I don't get what a lot of people don't get. Will was very obviously either abducted or murdered being he just disappeared and they found his bike in the woods. The government people planted Barb's car at the train station, indicating a run-away. Nancy was the only one who noticed anything was off and no one had any reason to believe it was related to Will at all. A child abduction would be treated differently than a teenage runaway. Plus it was clear that the sheriff had an emotional tie to Will's case due to losing his daughter that he didn't have with Barb or her family, hence him focusing exclusively on that. There were probably more inquiries into Barb being missing by other police, etc. that weren't shown because they weren't central to the story other than being a catalyst for getting Nancy involved.
