If each piece can live up to its potential..and the sky is the limit for potential, well then it will have been a perfect masterpiece...just the way Sgt. Peppers is.

BW will change the world. Music. How we live, and love, and go on about our lives. Mabye not overnight, but this is going to serve as a turning point in history as we know it.
I love BW a lot, I am really enjoying it more and more but that is a little crazy. DMB has a big following but they are not The Beatles, nobody will ever be that again. That was a different time, everyone was exposed to music so differently than they are today.

I can respect a difference in opinions. But ultimately, this album is the one I want to be married to. I want to make my children to. I want them to hear for the first time. I want played at my funeral. This album will come to define our generation.

In all honesty, Big Whisky and the Groogrux King is so phenomenal and tremendous in value, this could mark a similar shift in social thinking and acting, much the way Sgt. Peppers did back in 67. Big Whisky has the potential to change this world. This album has the power and boldness to make a grown man weep like a little woman....I would not be surprised in the least if a second cultural revolution begans and its origins are tied back to the Big Whisky Era to at least SOME degree. For these reasons, I think this is the modern day Sgt. Peppers we've been waiting for for 42 years...almost to the day.

bmoney, as ricky & others can attest to, I've been on the extreme edge of this album. I think it's either their best album or one of the 2 best ablums they've ever made, but I just am not going to make that leap over to the absurd and say that it's great in a historical context. We're just beyond that musically in our society. There just isn't going to be an album that comes out that is going to transcend time and history like Sgt Peppers, Dark Side of the Moon, Thriller, etc. To say that you think that this album is going to be historically significant in the same way is shortsighted, attention-grabbing on your part, and utterly insane. It sounds like you're basically trying to garner attention with this opinion, and because of the fact that it's impossible to prove your hypothesis without years upon years of life, you've created this internet loophole where you're the center of attention (good or bad) and nobody can prove you wrong. Congratulations, you've won the internet, but you've also sold your soul to Internet Lucipher.

Well I am happy that you like it so much. It's great music and I guess I can respect your opinion even though I think it's a little over the top. Happy to hear people love this album though.

No, it just means you're incapable of controlling your volume at a movie theatre.

bmoney i get what youre saying. its a really good album. really refreshing seeing as weve all expected so much. what everyone else is saying is that you cant make claims about the historical nature of the music until it gets a chance to be tested by time, thats all

This statement will go down in history as a turning point. I want to marry this statement. I want it to be the first thing to touch my children's ears. This statement transcends the greatness of things such as "Ich bin ein Berliner".

Its sad people just cant respect other peoples opinions without trashing where they are from, their intelligence, what they know etc. This is what makes the world go around (this, and BW) we should all just love one another and respect each other's opinions on this masterpiece.

Look man, I love it too... I think this album is the best album front to back that I've heard since Consolers of the Lonely last summer, but it's foolish to put an album that came out less than 50 hours ago into such a dramatic historical context. There's just no basis for your thoughts, and that's being shown by how ludacrous everybody thinks your opinion is. Your opinion is your opinion, you're completely entitled to it, but without factual reasoning to back it up, people who disagree with you are just going to not take it seriously.

Big Whiskey has been out less hours than Sgt. Peppers has been in years. To place it up in the same historical context is unfair to Sgt. Peppers, and irrational overall.
