    New topic of conversation...

Favorite song on The Carpenter? I'd say mine right now is probably February Seven

Hard to choose between The Carpenter, February Seven, Down With the Shine, and Pretty Girl from Michigan.

I really love Live and Die. I haven't listened to the Carpenter in awhile but I always had to listen to that song at least 3 times whenever I listened to the album.

I really do like all of their albums though. I think their progression has been pretty natural and solid. I know some people want more of the banjo picking stuff, but I feel like we have enough from them, I like that they've branched into different things. And they always smoke live regardless of the studio recordings.

    I'll play along.

Emotionalism (it was my first, and it will always remind me of college, so I don't see it ever moving from #1)
    Four Thieves
    Gleams
    Mignonette
    Country Was
    A Carolina Jubilee
    Carpenter
    I&L&Y

*Love all of their albums, just find myself listening to I&L&Y less than the others. Very solid body of work so far though.

Easily my right up there with DMB as my favorite band.

    My top would be:

    1. Paranoia in B# Major
    2. When I Drink
    3. Pretty Girl at the Airport
    4. Laundry Room
    5. Shame
    6. At the Beach
    7. The New Love Song
    8. Life
    9. Salina
    10. Go To Sleep

    HM: Distraction #74 & Colorshow

    they're amazing in concert

(PS: The fact that Mumford & Co. have covered the Avetts in concert before shows the mad respect Marcus has for them.)
