Re: *** Official Farm Aid 2019 Thread***
i slipped and fell three times, twice in the same spot near the upper lawn stairs heading down to concessions/restrooms. never spilt the beer, though.
i stake out the same spot whenever i go to alpine and the lawn was definitely the most full i'd seen it since maybe the 07-08 dmb shows there.
first time ever seeing a dave & tim set (save for the one or two songs at bonnaroo '04 and at the '15 2sets shows). my expectations were met, and it was just fun to see them in that setting.
lukas nelson + band were the days mvps. their set was really good and i'm glad they brought out multiple guests, something most other bands either didn't do or did for just one song. plus the kid with the guitar strapped on and 'playing' during the set was endearing. and obviously backing up neil and willie, they were the glue.
yola was a nice discovery, will be exploring her music more. bonnie raitt's set was the most musically interesting of the night (an inxs cover of need you tonight, angel from montgomery, burning down the house, a solo blues cover for srv...). and as others have also said, neil was great. as a pearl jam fan, it was cool to see him do throw your hatred down, and i love harvest moon.
