Check out the link in my signature. A lot of your questions will be answered. I used to RV, but now tent camp. The cost of the RV is not worth it to me, but YMMV. The pros are definitely being out of the weather (both hot and cold) and a better sleeping environment. The cons are the cost because you pay for RV, mileage, and fuel. If you do decide to RV get on those reservations sooner than later.

Does anyone know the cost and quality of chair rentals for the lawn? Or do most people just do blankets?

We had a hotel in Seattle Monday night so we jammed the RV (24') right into the hotel parking lot. Was a little tight but no one complained.

I always do chairs, especially if it's a Caravan/mini-caravan/whatever where you have to get into the venue at like 1 or 2. Plus I'm old, so my back doesn't enjoy hours of ground sitting.

I believe they are $10 and you get $2 back if you return the chair to the stand.


Quality is pretty decent; sturdy and comfortable enough. If you have this style of chair (see link) with you at camp, you can bring it into the venue and not pay anything.

Does terrace camping offer early admission like the warehouse line? Because the past couple times I've gone I've seen terrace campers get in early with us too. Or do they just offer a warehouse line as well?

Chances I'd be denied for putting in for 3-night lawns AND night 3 pit on the WH? It is doable, but I wonder if they'd deny both because of doing so?

Pretty sure they won't decline any 3-night lawn requests...they'll sell as many lawn tickets as possible

If you have pit tix you don't need lawn. Concentrate on those and you can get lawn at any time.
We had pit tix 2 nights and would watch the 1st set from the lawn to watch the sunset then moved to the pit for the 2nd set. Best of both worlds

I don't believe so. Those terrace campers probably had wh tix. Terrace is a completely separate entity, private property rented by the land holder, Martin.

My guess is they will sell you all the 3 day lawns they have, but I don't know.

didn't see this mentioned in the FAQ doc... perhaps I overlooked it. If you are declined for the parking pass you requested from the WH you can try and request parking passes thru LN onsale and Citi presale right?

Yes. Confirmations come out from WH before the public on sale, so you'll know what you have and what you need to get on LN.

Parking passes are pretty easy to come by, I wouldn't stress too much about them!

What Liz said. Most likely someone will get parking passes but end up camping and be selling theirs.

shit... i should have clarified. I meant a campsite pass, not a parking pass for the lot. Specifically Premier. So same question but this time referring to a campsite pass.

Yes Premier camping can be purchased through Live Nation and Citi Presale.

One more question - have read a lot about how nice the lawn is, and that for reserved the center sections are great and the outer sections are less great (obviously, but compared to other venues as well). How is the pit, if you don't mind the standing? Any reason a good lower reserved is better than pit, outside of the obvious of having a seat and not having to rush in? Considering requesting 3 nights of pit and later buying lawn for whatever nights that doesn't pan out, but also don't want to get stuck with some outside reserve seat if I won't be able to move that ticket later on (I assume they aren't in as high demand given how nice the lawn is). Any advice? I assume the 102 tickets are also pretty hard to secure.

Alot of the really good reserves will be premium or VIP tickets, and the others outside of that will be hard to secure.

I requested tickets through WH the last two years and got stuck with uppers/tickets to the side (I can look up exact locations, but it really doesn't matter)

I successfully sold them both years on the boards, I think I just ate the shipping costs or fees or paid out of pocket to ship them to someone.

Moral of the story I think you can always sell tickets... there will always be people who don't want to do lawn. You just might not get what you paid back.

We requested pit and got reserves both years. 2003 account (not that it matters)

With the addition of the pit and premium packages seniority perks are pretty much non-existent at this point.
