Went for the first time in '21, didn't make it last year because we went to the Gorge. Sleepybear and the diehard fans in Indy are why we'll be back at the Creek!

Will be here for my 5th consecutive year! Deer Creek has easily become my favorite venue. Crowd is great, people are always kind, and the setlists always crush it.

Q for people in the know - I have never been in the back of the lawn section - Looking at Google maps, it appears a entrance or even full section with drinks/bathrooms are back there? If so, that seems like a sneaky good place to post up.

IIRC there is an entrance at the rear behind the hill. A few steps on the way up and there are merch and refreshment stands back there too.

Looking like these 2 nights will be my only shows this summer - 2 day lawn pass request is in! Hoping for another fall tour.

After last summer doing Creek, CMAC, Gorge and a fall show...probably good to take it easy. Only goal on a summer album tour is to see those songs and there are only 5 i've not caught before so...lets do this!

Gonna be a first timer at the venue, looking to go both nights. How is the lawn here? I'm thinking of going one night pavilion and the other night lawn, depending on how it is there.

There are definitely all of the things you mention back there. Just make sure you park in the lot that is near there or you will have to work your way to the front for parking when the concert is over (and against the flow of everyone heading for the back).

Plan on making my first return back to Deer Creek since Deer Creek Night 2 and Night 3 shows in 2000 (Yes it’s been a while). I could easily research but anyone on this thread remember the last year that Deer Creek got (3) consecutive nights of DMB? Just curious as I forgot Deer Creek got (3) nights back in the day. Looking very much forward to getting back to the Creek this summer. Also have a feeling that band performance level might be “up’d” to make up for last year’s Deer Creek shows without Tim.

So. Pumped. There are few better days than tour announcement day.

These shows have become my only 2 every summer since having kids. Can't wait for the best lawn, best crowd, best venue, and great shows.

We’re thinking of hitting the Creek for our third time. We’ve previously camped at Sleepy Bear and Green acres. Looking into Closeby this year. Anybody stay there in the past? What’s the vibe like? Pros/cons? Ample space? Fire rings? Etc.

Funny enough, at the DTE Energy Music Theatre in Michigan in 2021, Dave made a comment along the lines of "It's always been Pine Knob to me." (Pine Knob was the amp's name up until 2001.)

But what happened in January 2022? They made an announcement that the name is changing back to Pine Knob--original logo design and all.

I like to think Dave summoned this change with the power he yields.

He did it at Deer Creek in 2019 and 2021. I think he said something like "Ruoff Mortgage and Home Loans Center for the Performing Arts...or as I call it - Deer CreeK". The next year he was like "I was signing a poster tonight and it shared with me that it hasn't been called Deer Creek since 2000." and then some sort of "Always be Deer Creek to me".
