most stay in the market center area. we're trying the new-ish element downtown this year.

Thanks for the recommendations. How is the Uber situation before and after the show? Better to just get a rental car?

Just put in my request for Houston. But with the combination of ticket prices, how many songs have been repeated between Houston and Dallas, and this being an album year meaning even more repeats (of songs I'm not crazy about), I don't think I can justify the double-header like last year.

only 4 repeats last year. 3 of them being Grey Street, Nancies, and Warehouse. I'll take that all day.


definitely will have some new song repeats this year, but hopefully some additional new ones as well.

That's fair. I was happy with those repeats, but in an album year, I don't think we'll be that lucky. I also realize I was thinking of the other 5 songs that were repeats from the Texas stop in Austin, which I guess won't be an issue this year.

Maybe the Houston show will be so good that I'll pick up some Dallas tickets last minute. But admit part of it is buying two tickets and a parking pass and then seeing the gut punch of $400 for one show...

Starting to think if I can wrangle in Dallas as well, and have never been there. I've always wanted to the traditional Texas Two Step and this might be my shot.



If I do, I will be flying from Houston and would prefer not to rent a car for just one day.



Looks like the green line goes from Historical Downtown St. Paul Station to MLK Station right by the park/venue? Is that a good option to get to and from?



Any helpful tips for Dallas? Do I need to bring a cowboy hat? boots?

Making my first trip to these venues from Illinois (been to both cities before a handful of times)! How's the Kimpton Pittman in Dallas location/safety wise for the show? After seeing the comments about knives lol. Staying across the street at the Hyatt for Woodlands.

i enjoy the woodlands shows a great deal, its nice being walking distance from hotel to shows. dont have any feedback on kimpton pittman dallas other than kimptons are usually in great areas. welcome to the fun that is the texas shows!

hotel is really nice. area is GREAT during the day. tons of bars and restaurants in deep ellum.

at night, just south of there gets a little riff raffy, and ubers are impossible to get leaving the area.
