It's that time of year! Rumored dates are 7/14+7/15.

I believe track season opens that weekend? I'm sure the locals will correct me on that one.

Thinking of going this year for the first time. Where is the best place to stay? I prefer a nicer place/location than going for cheapest place to stay.

Any suggestions would be great!

Look at Malta and Latham, both within 15-25 ish mins. Half the price.

We went for the first time last year, if you don't care about price and don't want to drive post show stay at the Gideon Putnam. 5 minute walk back after the shows and overall nice place (historic nice). We stayed at the Embassy for the pre show nights to be close to the action on Broadway but Gideon has a shuttle.

GA (rail and picnic area) is $10 to get in. Can bring in any booze or food you want as long as it’s not glass bottles.
