My wife and I have gone 3 times and stayed in Moses Lake each time. Once on the Interstate you are 28 miles from a nice bed and a late nite meal at one of multiple options. It's super easy.

I'm from Pittsburgh as well, and have gone twice. If you read the sticky at the top of the page and have direct questions, feel free to DM me.

Only thing I can't really help with is camping. Both times I've stayed in Wenatchee. I'm camping this year though, so i can tell you what I've done so far; just nothing historically.

    You're gonna love it.

I don't camp at the Gorge and have stayed in both Moses Lake and Crescent Bar, there is no comparison, if you can do Crescent Bar it's amazing

Not at all the camping type, might go this year from Texas for the first time......would prefer to just have RV delivered and picked up without having to worry about anything. Any specific companies yall have had a good experience with?

Damn looks like you're SOL for Gorge lodging unless you want to camp. Thought this would be our year finally but camping isn't an option.

Are you looking for a hotel, vrbo, etc? Moses Lake, Wenatchee (sp?), and crescent lake all have openings for Labor Day Weekend. Those are about the closest towns/hotels/motels to The Gorge.

Booked Fairfield last night in Wenatchee but it's an hour drive to the venue. Crescent was sold out when I checked today but I'll check again. Thanks!

Check Moses Lake if you want a bit closer than Wenatchee.

Either way, from accounts here (I’ve never been but first time this year) the drives aren’t terrible. Moses lake is the same as my work commute so I’m used to it.

That Fairfield is brand new. Pefectly fine place to stay. Just a little bit of a hike back after each show. You'll be fine there.

The drive there in the daylight is scenic and relaxing. The drive home at night is a bit of a dredge in the pitch black, but nothing not manageable.

The one thing I will say is...get there earlier on Saturday - usually you can roll right in to the venue Friday and Sunday with little to no traffic. Saturday is a bit of a bitch since it's more highly attended by those not camping there. Give yourself an extra hour or so if commuting in from Wenatchee / Moses Lake.

hour drive is more than manageable. i know some people here have reservations about the drive after the show but i really dont get it, its only an hour drive at like 11 at night.

I would just like to thank everyone for the help. The drive back will be different for me but I can cut back on the booze and be ok.

That's seriously all I did all 4x I've done it. Last beer when I go in and I'm fine when it's time to leave. Hell, after the Sunday show, I drove straight to SeaTac from the venue and just slept at the airport til my 7am flight - that was far more challenging. One of the few times I made sure to have a few Red Bull's on hand.

Sometimes (especially when you're a CPA and need to be around for month end close), you have to decide whether you can make it work, or you can't make it work - so, I was back at my desk 8am on Tuesday. And I'll be doing it again this year.

You know the funny thing? When I dropped the rental car off at 3am at SeaTac? Probably 30 other DMB fans on the shuttle from the rental car center to the airport that all did the same thing. Made me feel good that I wasn't the only crazy one out there.

The camping is half of the experience out there. It's not like going to a regular place campground and camping, you're not really "roughing" it per se. But to each their own!

I might be a little dense but are we forecasting the weekend to be Aug 29th - Sept 1?

We stayed in Wenatchee this past year after N1 (only went to nights 1 and 2), but the drive to and from Wenatchee really wasnt bad at all (Stayed at the Best Western--it was fine to sleep at one night). After N2, we drove back to a Hotel in Renton by the Airport so we could catch our 10am flight home. Its a lot of driving, but not being campers and really wanting to experience the Gorge, it was well worth it!

Turns out I needed to update a bunch of things in our Warehouse account after they launched the new one, might want to check all the things - they have an auto-renewal, now!
