I thought tonight was a real good performance for 2018/2019 Dave. Don't think you're going to get much better than that in full band format.

Interesting! Alpine is just such a beautiful area and have seen great shows there. Helps that we stay with old friends who live nearby. I guess I take Deer Creek for granted since we see lots of shows here every year that don't have same energy as DMB, and no camping.

Man idk, this is as good as it gets from the last few years. I was Facetiming with a friend and we were thinking he has a little more restraint and sounds older, but falsettos were on point and we thought he sounded great, relatively.

I was there last year and excited to get a Two Step/Ants encore.

I'll take whatever part of Two Step I can get. I went through a long stretch (since 2012) not hearing it full band. I was at The Gorge in 2018 when it got cut for Cornbread ... but when the started playing it it was a great moment and capped a great weekend at DC.

Idk, I was at Riverbend '19 and he sounded a whole lot better than tonight ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Take that encore if you can get it, despite the short Two Step. There's much worse encores out there, as we know.

Ready for some fucking concerts. God damn!

I know I’m asking a lot, but can we get a few of these leading up to the tour next year? Would be a great way to pump the fans up for next years tour. Drop about 2 or 3 of them in May 2021

That was a great time. Cant wait for next week. Hopefully we get some older shows even if they are ones we have released already. But at this specific point in time, I'll take any dmb I can get.

Alpine is great, but it's in the middle of nowhere. I like Creek because you get the full camp experience a 2 minute walk away from the venue and if you need to for whatever reason run to town to get something you have tons of options right next to the campsite/venue. Both get great sets and have great energy. But I'll take Creek 10 out of 10 times over Alpine.

Curious of your thoughts on Dave’s voice in Vegas a couple months ago. Thought he sounded pretty good.

It was the best I’ve heard him sound in the full band setting in years. Check out What You Are from that show. Near perfection all around except for one tiny part towards the end where Dave tries to go a bit higher than he’s capable of these days.

I hope that the show is streamed as part of this series, eventually.

Pretty fun show for the most part. Rapunzel sounded rough. Minarets sounds the best of all the classic songs this current version of the band does. I really don’t like the organ or Buddy’s singing though. I like the piano, but that organ ruins songs.

That show is maybe the best I’ve heard from Dave’s voice and this current lineup

That was a really fun show to watch. Buddy was on fire during Bayou - a song I detested, and still kinda do, that has found some serious new life in DMB 4.0

Crush was the highlight for me. The bass levels were nice and loud so you had Fonz crystal clear as Rashawn went through that jazzy jam.

I do think crush is a top song with current band - buddy using jazzy piano to support, Tim taking the slide solo in the middle, and then the solos on the ending jam with Rashawn and then Tim normally using more a clean tone solo then shifting gears to letting it rip, just kind of flows well for me.

Then again I also thoroughly enjoy the way they do ants now with the 4 soloists trading off solos.

Bayou will always annoy me - even with the jam on the end.....that said, band seems to be having a ton of fun and hey we got a free show last night with some good good playing!

I enjoyed it not taking 2+ hours to get out of the lots after the show last night like it does for Mansfield, also an entire beer wasn't spilled all over me like the last time at Mansfield, also no half hour wait for the bathroom like Mansfield

Pretty good show setlist wise though. I'll be back next week for sure.
A lot of people saying this is on par with Dave in 2018-19, but I went to multiple shows (and listen to the tapes) in those years and I'd have to agree with this. He was straining more than usual. I noticed it definitely in Warehouse. When they did two nights at the end of 2018 in C'ville, they opened with Warehouse for one of them, and Dave's voice was miles better than it was here.

Good show and glad I watched. Always excited for more, but there's definitely shows out there where Dave isn't pushing so hard.

MA hate aside, Mansfield is the worst venue I’ve been to yet.

Basically the same show with junk like Seven, Jimi, Fly Like an Eagle and Corn Bread thrown in.

Same Set closer, same encore opener. 2019 Halloween no thanks

So maybe they don’t have the entire live collection to share but to choose this right after Deer Creek is so bad.

So I’m assuming that they’re just airing the 2019 shows that we’re already aired, right?

BruceW, who said in the other thread that shows older than 2018 will be streamed, and he has real info.

Anyway, point is, we will be getting older shows!
