Baylor and OSUjr do not add anything to the B1G; Aggie might, but I agree they aren't leaving. With Texas and Oklahoma, the SEC might surpass B1G in revenue.

I can't see the B1G sitting back and saying we're good. I think adding any sort of school that can help expand the conference will help in the long run.

Any way Clemson joins the B1G? I think they'd have a better chance than ND.

I'm down, but what should actually be done is getting rid of Missouri, Mississippi schools (x2), USC jr, Arkansas, and Vandy & then adding Ohio State, Clemson, USC sr, Washington, Oregon and maybe a few in the UCLA / Stanford / Michigan / Penn State / Wisconsin group (maybe some others) to get t0 16-24 teams.

Maybe change the name of the conference too, but who cares..

Gotcha. Let's pick a number, and just pick that number in like a top division conference. Obviously forgot to include ND. You could do this (I am sure I am missing stuff, just an example):


North: Ohio State, ND, Michigan, Wisconsin, Penn State, V Tech

East: Tennessee, Florida, Florida St, Georgia, Clemson, Miami (FL)

South: Texas, TAMU, Oklahoma, LSU, Alabama, Auburn

West: USC, UCLA, Oregon, Washington, Stanford, Cal

I think TCU was a good addition.

But who would have left their conference to join the Big 12? SMU and Houston are two that immediately come to mind. But do those guys keep OU and Texas from leaving? I doubt it.

So the #1 recruit for the 2022 high school class is going to reclassify and enter Ohio State this fall - allegedly one of the highest rated QB recruits ever - specifically to cash in on his name. I think it's bad for Ohio State - if he is good, that's one less year of him playing for the Buckeyes, and bad for him, since he'll likely be less prepared when and if he goes pro. I think the likeliest thing is that he is going to transfer in a year or two.

I don't know if it'll change, but I kinda like thinking OU vs Bama will be one of those mutual respect series where both fan bases are respectful and welcoming for the home and aways. People still fondly recall the home and home we did in 2002-2003, and the times we met in bowl games since then. We've had shitty experiences the 2 times OU played LSU in New Orleans, maybe that's just an LSU thing. The UGA Rose Bowl in 2018 was a fun atmosphere. Getting to experience Leach again, especially with Riley being one of his guys, is gonna be great.

I think that's just a New Orleans thing, due to the nature of bowl games. Hopefully the games on campus will be better.

I can say that in the half dozen or so times I’ve seen Florida play LSU in person, including in Baton Rouge in 2019, their fans are some of the coolest and most hospitable in the SEC. Never had an issue with them ever other than that time they melted down when we postponed our game with them in 2016 because a Cat 4 hurricane was threatening the state.

I may be forgetting a game, but seems like it's been a while since OU has had success against the SEC, but i think they'll be right in the thick of things when they join the schedule. Texas will struggle mightily, me thinks.
