I understand people can be mad, but I was just too excited to hold it back. I probably will not share anything in the future if things change too much lol But people here often freak out over the smallest of things anyway

I’m terrified of batson. How can you not be. He hyped Stand Up like it was the greatest recording since sliced bread. And look at it...he’s doing the same thing again. Dude specializes in Hip Hop. How does that correlate at all to DMBs sound? How can his influence be positive at all? Just weird they went back to him

Commercially, that would make sense in the current pop music climate. Hopefully, they went back to him because of the 2006 songs they had worked on him with. Plus he sounds really good at piano/keyboards, so hopefully they utilized that side of him this time around.

My confidence in this not being another Stand Up is the presence of the other producers. I’ve enjoyed the work the band has done with Alagia and Cavallo. I’d have to imagine Batson wouldn’t have as much say on the overall sound of the album and only the songs he was a part of. That should reduce the problems that Stand Up had in production

I feel like every album AFTER everyday has had horrific sound on it. Too compressed and shrill sounding (Whiskey/Away From World) or like Stand Up which I cannot find an adjective to describe the way it sounds it's so bad. Dave's voice on that album is especially bad.

The best part about Everyday is that the production is really well done, everything is crisp and it's the last record where Dave's voice sounded really strong all the way through from start to finish.

I'm hoping Come Tomorrow (I keep wanting to call it The Beatles song Come Together) has 1000x better production.

It could be an amazing album!

Here I go raising my expectations again, but the writing on this new batch of tunes has been really solid!

Pretty sure DotHS will be on the album. The album t-shirt on the WH store has a ship on the high seas on it

I really like the title of the song, Death on the High Seas. Song titles like that and Kill the King, big whiskey and the groogrux king (an album name, I know) just make me think of dave as writing fairy tale music for adults.

I know he even said that in describing Groogrux.

You think each producer looked over the shoulder of the others on every song? Doubt it. Sounds like they jumped around and recorded with each one individually on different songs...could be wrong though

It is REALLY upsetting they chose him AGAIN after that disaster though. It's like they want to make things horrible for us.

Did they really see value in the Stand Up sessions to deem it worthy to give him a call back to work with him again?

    Ridiculous!

There has to be a huge line of successful producers who would love to work with dmb. Yet they went back to Batson. Makes no sense. Excited for the other 2 for sure. Hope and pray they made decisions on Batsons songs but there is almost no way they did

You guys give the band the benefit of the doubt and blame Batson too much for Stand Up. It's the direction they wanted to take. Batson even said it will sound different this time, especially with Carter.

I think the silver lining with this potentially preliminary or maybe invented tracklist is that it is a really good sequence of the songs that will be saved here to potentially listen to by making a playlist in that order!!

Hopefully if it is not the actual tracklist, that means there is still a chance for Loving Wings! It would really fit with the newer songs, as people sometimes mention throughout the course of this thread!!

I don’t know what to believe anymore. We were going to get a single, then we were going to get Sugar Will, then we were going to get 18 songs, then we were going to get an announcement, then we were going to get a single, then it all went to shit and we were going to get Be Yourself, Plastic Girl, and Can’t Stop.

I’d be so happy with this track list...

BEI, what other songs did you hear were a lock?

I've been out all day and come back to a potential track list. If the Target list is correct I think it'll be good. It seems like too much old stuff but idk what to think anymore.

The fact that Batson is involved on any tracks is concerning.

    We didn't need more DMBatson.
