Just coming up on the finale of the first season. I'm glad they got Don's mystery back-story finished up in the first season instead of dragging it out over multiple ones. Pete forcing the issue was great, but he's a giant dick. Loved how Cooper took the wind out of his sails by saying "Who cares?"

Something minor that bothers me though; the ad firm is called "Sterling Cooper", but the main partner is Cooper. If that's the case, shouldn't it be "Cooper Sterling"?

I believe it's been subtly mentioned a couple times (maybe more-so in seasons 2 & 3) that Roger Sterling's father founded the company with Cooper... I'm guessing when they started it, they were equals or Sterling Sr. was the more senior of the two. Now Cooper is the senior since Roger stepped in for his father, but obviously they wouldn't change the name order because of that. That's my guess, anyway.

You're gonna love the next two seasons.

    I definitely agree here

Just finished the last 5 eps of Season 3 in the last few days, and it was definitely the best overall. The last 3 episodes of the season were the best fucking things EVER.

    Re: Mad Men

FYI for fans of this show (I'm still way behind, only like 3 episodes into season 2) Crista Flanagan (aka secretary Lois Sadler) has a spread in the newest Playboy, August.

Holy shit. I can't believe this is the same woman. I mean from what I remember on the show (it's been months since I last watched), I remember this girl as being attractive enough, but she's sort of dumbed down, and certainly appears older on screen, than THIS. Looking at these pictures... wow. She almost rivals Pete's wife for brunette hottie of the show (at least I'm assuming those characters are still married at this point).

In fact, for those who watch Lost as well, there's one shot in here in particular, in her face she looks like the lost twin sister of Evangeline Lilly, it's downright freaky.

EDIT: and btw, yes make fun of me all you want for still actually subscribing to Playboy... it's cheap enough (like $15 for a year), but I swear to god, cheesy jokes aside I do significantly get it for the articles. There's often a lot of great interviews and short stories in here.

Okay because I'm actually geeky enough to bother doing this... as I posted above, cast member Crista Flanagan just did a spread in the newest issue of Playboy. Here's some pics for anyone interested.

    and yes of course, NSFW
