this is the best we’ve ever seen Embiid play and we should appreciate it now as he is basically must see tv
Embiid REALLY likes dominating bad teams and is so-so against good teams
if he can keep up this run and get Philadelphia some more signature wins against winning teams, he’d be right up there with Jokic/Antetokuonmpo for the MVP running, but he’s just a tier below
Phoenix so good
in back to back games i saw them grind it out in a slow ass game and run a track meet. i mean i knew they do both but such a cool contrast to watch one after another. Minnesota tough losses back to back, offense good in both
Chicago is in trouble imo. their defense just hasn’t improved in the last few weeks and with Caruso out it’s not getting much better
I just saw this on Reddit, but what an incredible stat...
Jordan had a 9.34% TOV rate with a 33.26% usage.
Jordan somehow has the 39th best TOV% of all-time when he has the #1 usage all time
Almost no other "GOAT" cracks the top 250 in TOV%!!! Not Magic, Bird, LeBron, Kareem, Kevin Durant, Shaq, Wilt, or Stephen Curry! Impressively, Kobe is #159 and Duncan barely makes it at #247
Jordan has the lowest TOV% of ANY player averaging 4.0 assists per game or more (minimum 500 games played); interestingly, Jimmy Butler used to be #1 here until the past few seasons
Jordan had 14 40-point games with 0 turnovers. No one else has had more than 6.
same with Ingles who we may have seen the last of. Utah is all jacked up right now but it could work out for them if they drop to 6th and get some favorable matchups
by no means complete but i made this worksheet for myself, all the names i've heard in rumors, plus a list of RFA and UFA for my brain to mentally prepare for the deadline

Grayson Allen over 15.5 points/rebounds/assists
and over 1.5 threes, i put them separately in a parlay with the Minnesota/Denver over and teased Orlando to +13.5
i love playing him because he plays so much with the starters, gets a lot of open looks and Vegas doesn’t really respect him so he’s always good value
same w Gary Harris but unfortunately he’s been benched
——
my biggest win of the year was tonight though:
Derozan 2 threes, Wagner 2 threes, Derozan 2 steals, Anthony 2 steals (+28800)
first same game parlay i’ve won in a month and i pretty much won back all my losses this year. i only put 0.1 units on these though

[QUOTE=Rodey;18125058]Justin what are the Spurs doing? Feel like they need a roster shakeup. Like everyone but Dejounte and Johnson are available kind of thing.[/QUOTE
i think everything is going to plan from this summer. they recognize the Gasol contract on top of holding on to Aldridge/Derozan/Mills/Gay last year was a mistake...going into this year they wanted to see who can actually play and try to basically appraise each player and i think they’ve done that
i think they know some moves need to be made this deadline or at the latest this summer, just gotta figure out who
my analysis:
Murray- absolutely expendable. i’m not sure his value will ever be higher than it is now. mostly a box score fiend- he’s a good stopper on help side and can steal the ball from non elite ball handlers, but not a starter on a title team. the jumper just isn’t there for the modern NBA. think Tony Parker without the finishing at the rim, just happens to have long arms to get boards/steals. not to mention amazing value at 15m per that they can get extra assets for
White- my favorite player, can help any contender now as a starting 2. can shoot create and defend at a starter level- basically a taller less talented VanVleeti want him to be a part of the next great Spurs team but he’s just too old at 27. he can help Atlanta or the Lakers or Memphis or Dallas get to the next level TODAY and we should strip them of everything we’ve got. amazing value too on his contract
Poeltl- again amazing value at 8.5 per. can guard out in the perimeter, and elite (yes top 5) rim protector. i would like him to stay but if they can flip him for a first go for it. his offensive game isn’t NBA finals caliber but he makes up for it on the offensive glass. IMO a poor man’s Gobert which is still pretty good.
Johnson- by far the most disappointing. can’t shoot consistently, can’t handle the ball or finish reliably, teams scout his drives so they just load up to him, can’t create for himself. can guard 3s decently and can get hot once in a while. basically Jeff Green. not sure what value he has left
Vassell- i see faint faint faint shades of stardom. has the size, beautiful jumper, good length, defensive instincts. he just doesn’t put the ball on the floor well and when the jumper leaves it LEAVES. would love to see usage go up because his trajectory reminds me of a certain cornrowed nephew
Walker- RFA coming up, we won’t extend him, we’re trying to get his value up but man he is just so inconsistent night to night. defensively just isn’t quick enough, offensively he’s a nice microwave but just so easy to stop- your typical athletic 2, Will Barton type, not sure what we can get

i’m all for selling all of them and building around Vassell and Primo, i see offensive star power with them at least.
my prediction is we hold on to them all at the deadline, because of team bonding and culture (a mistake but i understand it). then this summer package White/Poeltl/Johnson with what is hopefully a top 6 pick for a decent starter, John Collins maybe as is often rumored

Interesting that you don't like Johnson and Murray. I mean I mostly just box score peep the Spurs, but they seem to have the highest ceilings.
