Heavy doesn’t even really encapsulate the gravity of that movie, TBH.

That scene where he tells that story is shot so well. Rob Reiner crushed it.

I'm not as knowledgeable about Hamilton as I should be, boring white people things are right up my alley, huge Les Mis fan and miss theater as much as I miss concerts this year.

If there was an award for the whitest person on Earth, you and Adam would be finalists. So fuck right off with that shit. Hamilton is amazing. Maybe Crash is more your style. I'm sure you and Adam would love that adaptation.

    I’m watching Titanic right now.

I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned it in here before but I remember going to see this movie in the theater with my buddy over Christmas break back in ‘97. We had no clue what it was about, we thought it was a movie ABOUT the ship probably.

So two 17 year old kids going to see Titanic together. The “I’m flying” scene was the height of the awkwardness... we left both loving it in the end though. Still love this movie to this day.

I was 15. My cousin (15) and brother (13) were brought to the mall theater with our parents to watch it. We sat apart; parents on one side, kids on the other. My mom warned me that it was long as fuck with no intermission.

I was actually enthralled the whole time. The three of us didn't cut up at all.

Best movie of the 90’s, and high in the running for best movie ever.

Tournament tennis is as diverse as the cast of Hamilton.

I'm sorry you can't appreciate good musicals. I bet you don't even know Papa Shango and The Godfather are the same person.

He was Kama “The Ultimate Fighting Machine” and Soultaker as well. He also owns a weed store out here my buddy buys from. Don’t try to come at me about wrestling, I’ll wreck you.

It’s fine, but I’ve seen way better.

    A. Gospel Elvis was great.

    2. I live in Vegas and have slept in the same room Elvis did out here...which actually kinda sucked but was also cool?

{. I’m 68 Comeback Special Elvis compared to you.

First of all, I am not in the white finals. I’m Jewish. Automatic disqualification. White finals would be tall blonde hair blue eyed person or an overweight cowboy.

Second of all, I never said I didn’t like Hamilton. I saw the play and I liked it a lot. I just haven’t watched it on Disney Plus yet. I’ll get around to it.

The 1999 Oscars were a fucking tragedy except for Best Actress. Also, piss on those cowards for excluding The Matrix from every meaningful award.

How it should have gone (with the actual nominees, otherwise I’d just give the South Park movie a bunch of shit and that’s boring.)

    Picture: The Green Mile
Actor: Richard Farnsworth for The Straight Story
Actress: Hillary Swank for Boys Don’t Cry
Supporting Actor: Michael Clark Duncan for The Green Mile
Supporting Actress: Chloe Sevigny for Boys Don’t Cry (Jolie may be the least deserving Oscar winner ever that still gave a good performance. She’s fine. She isn’t bad. And yet...who cares?)
Director: Spike Jonze for Being John Malkovich

I watched this last night and really enjoyed it. I actually like movies with narration and I found out during the credits that the narrator was the author of the book that the movie was based on, which I thought was a cool touch. I think movies with narration typically do a better job of getting closer to the feel of the books they are normally based on because they can add in that extra flavor context that books are able to provide that movies normally struggle to do. By the end of the movie, I wasn't entirely sure what the movie was meant to be about specifically, but my attention was held throughout. Pattinson was impressive in his role.

I'm not sure many people actually understand how those businesses work and the depth of how their algorithms work. I think it was a good documentary to help normal people understand it and to help put the impact it's having on the world into context. As the documentary explains, rightfully, the manipulation they are causing happens, intentionally, without most people even realizing it's happening.
