Just curious what the bit-rate is for the FLAC download. I just downloaded the warehouse releases in FLAC and both of those are in 24-bit. I usually buy the CD"S and rip them into ALAC, which is 16-bit. Wondering if I can get a higher bit-rate if I downloaded the releases. I know LT 36 and 44 are specifically offered in 24 bit but I wondering if they just are offering the new LT in 24-bit automatically.

Don’t know why they stopped offering 24-bit but I believe even the few shows they did that weren’t also a BD release, they still mixed them with disc breaks like the CD which is a bit lazy.

Seems now the only 24-bit shows are ones not available on CD and/or ones that are +Blu-ray LTs.

    LT61 FLACs are 16/44.1

That extra 10 bucks you pay for the pieces of cardboard and plastic really paid off.

Wouldn't it be funny if I get mine (ordered today) the same day you get yours?
I once paid for the premier shipping price, got it about as fast as the regular nonpremier shipping price. Never again.

I’m old school, I always go CD. I have little desire for digital only purchases, I like that hard copy backup.

Lol, yeah that’s been my luck lately with the LTs. I’ve never done the premium shipping, doesn’t seem worth the price hike to me. But yeah I hope you get yours Thursday too!

Who is credited for recording and mixing?

I know the Red Rocks run are THE shows from this tour, but this isn't nearly as bad a release as those who have not heard it are making it out to be. The band is on point the entire night, this was a really good sounding year for them. Some surprises for me include the cool Norwegian Wood jazz jam at the end of the Warehouse and that SAWG was really good. Is this a Top 10 release for me? No? Will I go back and listen? Yes.

Solid release, because the band still sounded solid in 2005. I also enjoy most of Stand Up (the album) in the live setting.

I like this encore, too. It’s a little weird, but it works for me. WYA from this era is epic. Nice and dark and Dave’s voice was still powerful/had that anger in it.

This LT is a nice little change of pace. Def would be interested in more ‘05 LTs down the road.

when this was announced i thought mgmt was trolling us, but after some solid reviews and hearing the mix was good i decided to give it a shot.

gotta admit i'm really liking this show. as others have said, the band is on point and sounds great. and the mix is just fantastic. sure the set is a little SU heavy, but at least those songs are played well and feel fresh. SAWG and YMDT are really nice surprises in that regard, and ABI > AB is straight fire. imo dave's voice is also much better during this show than it was at RR so helps alot as well.

overall i this show feels a lot like LT10 (lisbon) and LT14 (roi's last) to me: the sets aren't the best, but the performances are excellent and the mix is fantastic. in the end, i've found i end up revisiting those show a lot more than ones with superior sets but bad mixes (looking at you LT7...)

Digging this show more than I ever imagined. The playing on it is incredible. Loose and jazzy like classic DMB. I find myself enjoying the Stand Up songs much more these days. Perhaps out of just lowered expectations, but they have a breath of fresh air being so new on this tour.

The band sounds jazzy. Roi is really playing with a lot of passion and creativity. It makes me miss him so much. He's playing over and under a lot of what the band is doing but never really over plays or draws attention to himself. It's always about the song.

The recording itself is really warm and full. Good separation between instruments. Everything is pretty balanced. No Tim to mix in. Butch isn't too loud or overbearing on anything.

I just realized I never picked this one up. Your write-up really makes me want to hear it! I love jazzy DMB; I'll have to purchase this sometime soon to have a listen!

You definitely should. I was hesitant but very glad I made the move. Free shipping during the holidays influenced my decision when I bought a few other things. I've listened to it more than LT 62 at this point. Band is energized and having fun.

Crazy to hear that, and then Dave saying fairly genuinely at Red Rocks later that summer that it was the best tour of their career. Only to find out something occurred internally between 05-06 that almost ruined the band.

I'll listen to anything they put out that has Roi on it! Finally 3/4 through this one and did not know that I needed a Warehouse>>Steady As We Go in my life. But that was beautiful and a great transition!

Re: Live Trax Vol. 61: Coors Amphitheatre

Listening back 8 months after its release, I think this aged very well. Damn, if this mix isn’t good! It is excellent!
I was listening with headphones, and jumped from LT54 (Cow Palace) to this one. Now I know you cannot really compare two recordings 10 yrs apart, but the difference is enormous. This is, sonically, flawless. Great dynamic, great balance, clarity. Really good.

Backreading in this thread I saw that I am not the only one having this opinion:

Right from the first kick drum, I had a huge smile cranking ABI in the minivan (where I recently upgraded the sub to a JL Audio ACP208LG-W3v3 - oh man, it really plummets low now)
Looking forward to listening through more.

In terms of show-flow and quality of performances, I think that this release is way underrated. Most performances are excellent, Roi is wonderful, Carter is amazing and I don’t feel anything missing (not Tim, for sure). A 2005 show is supposed to be be SU-heavy, but infact, it isn’t, at least, not in a way that annoys me. Energy is phenomenal throughout the show. I agree with what dobyblue wrote:

This is the best all round performance of ABI and the last one before the absurd screeching that completely ruins RR’05. In fact on my Live mix of released DMB I actually edit out a good 2:00 of that RR’05 ABI just to prevent the awful screeching. Here Dave screams, and it’s infinitely more powerful.
Say what you will about the set list, if you give this one a shot and presuming it has a decent mix, I think you’ll be very pleased having this in your collection.
I’m psyched to see this whole show getting an official release.
The mid-run Grey Street - ABIntro - AB - Granny - Warehouse, is phenomenal, probably my favorite part of the show.
The end is good too. I didn’t remember the weird ending of You Might Die Trying that they used to play in 2005. The intro jam of WYA is very long, and the tempo of the song seems to me faster than normal. But still a very good version and a great show ending.

Overall, this is a 4⭐️ release for me, great show from top to bottom, which sounds really awesome.
