I've contacted a couple mods, who know nothing of what's happened. I mean, hardly any admins/mods are around there anymore, so who knows when/if TDC will be back. Hopefully, at least in time for the end of off season.

Since the Politics thread was locked, even fewer people show up these days. :\

Still, been posting there regularly for well over a decade...

Either of y'all ever talk to Mitch from TDC recently. I've messaged him a couple times but he seems to be gone from the DMB boards entirely. He had told me that he lost interest entirely. It sounds like that fire never came back.

I did, and he said about the same. Can't blame him though. Aside from a few decent/good songs, DMB hasn't released much worthwhile music over the past several years. And their sound has devolved without a violin. Plus COVID. Etc. etc.

People get restless, and obviously have much bigger lives offline. Few are willing to stick it out. Or able. Makes sense though. Gotta be tonnes of people around here who are gone for whatever particular reason.

But aside from amidreaming, I never felt I quite fit in with any other board. Maybe it's their smaller size? Nancies, the Bridge, ufck and here were always huge compared with ami and TDC.

To lose TDC this way would be sadly abrupt.

Oh yeah I completely agree. I definitely have my lulls in excitement for the band, but the fire always seems to come back some how. Thankfully.

Yeah Ants and TDC are about the only I ever got involved with. That and Weekly Davespeak. Remember that one? That’s where I originally met Brandon and Mitch. Oh and Don’t Burn the Pig for a little while. I never went on amidreaming? Is that one still around?

Oh yeah I’m definitely hoping TDC comes back soon.

❤️ Being older now there’s no music or anything that could captivate me like DMB in the day. It was formative. Now I have kids. I’m excited this will be a great album for my adult listening. And getting buzzed and putting head phones on that first night will be a real treat. And in that moment I’ll have the nostalgia flash back tinges. And that’s all I need. And I’ll listen for a month or so. And I don’t go to shows anymore, but will hit one more to make 50. I’m always an optimistic fanboy.

I vaguely recall weeklydavespeak. Dbtp is still up, at least the main page.

Reddit has a thriving community. Every few weeks it seems I upload another link for the Batson sessions lol.

Hey Terry. Thanks for the heads up, after some screwing around I cracked the code and was able to login. Thanks to all of you who had kind words, whether I deserve them or not haha. I was texting with Ronan and he told me about this thread so I figured I'd pop in and say hi. Gweeps told me via FB message a couple weeks ago that TDC was down, looks like it will be up again soon. I actually have a little DMB juice going now after Jones Beach and MSG this year so I'll try to chime in once again.

I feel like I've had a pending registration there for about 5-6 years (I can log in but not post). There are a lot of familiar names from the old DMBML days on there as well. If anyone has any insight on how to get that approved if the site is up and running again, please PM me.
