Re: ***official citi field thread***

And I challenge the guy that said last night that the band had no energy, do you say the same tonight ?? And the whole " band is going through the motions " nonsense, really ?? When did you ever see Carter, " go through the motions " just to get through a show, or even Dave for that matter ?? What shows are some people watching ??? I know people have opinions, but are you really watching & listening to these shows ??? I've said this before, if you have not really enjoyed these shows, & that is your choice & opinion, maybe you need the break that the band is taking as well.

Wait, Fenton confirmed a fall tour?

I would LOVE anymore info about this... even if its just a more detailed story of him just saying 'yeah, fall tour' or something. This makes me really excited!

Yes, but with his voice sounding the way it is (and not torn up like in the beginning of the tour), he ripped it a new asshole. I love Time Bomb, don't really care for the lyrics as an intro to Two Step (as I <3 the intros)...but tonight's, when he let it go, ended up being great.

Black Jack Tease? Anyone have any idea about this? The site says tonight was the first time it was played.

    Seek up was sick.

    That is all.

Some clown on here last night made a list of things why he didnt't like the show & one of them was " no energy by the band on stage "

Yeah but the outro kept going and going and going. The crowd was electric too. I ended up in section 124 in the standing room area

    *HELP*

If anyone snagged an extra poster from tonight (N2), I would love to buy it from you. I bought a poster and had it autographed by Rashawn, then stupid me left it inside the rail at the front of GA and forgot to grab it before I left.

So now I have no poster and no autograph. My plan of owning posters from both nights and framing them together is completely ruined.

PM me if anyone has anything.

Almanac says there was a Good Good Time intro to Watchtower. Was it just Stefan messing around on his pedals?

I think 99% or more of us think that this tour has been one of, if not the best, in the last 7 years. The band has absolutely balanced big whiskey tunes, crowd pleasers, and old school shit.

I mean, instrumental intro to one sweet world???!??!?! That was one of my favorite pieces this band ever did, ever. I never in a million years thought I had a chance to see it live.

Same with Cry Freedom - favorite studio song the band has done and I saw it 3 times.

And I am excluding getting to see Kit Kat Jam, Busted Stuff, the Stone x2, Pig x2, Grace is gone, Hello Again x2, Granny, Idear of You, a beautiful minute of 40, Diggin A Ditch x2, So Right, Warehouse x2, full Recently, Say Goodbye, a bunch of BEFs, and Rapunzel.... and tour staples.

For any bitching I may have done in this thread, I want to balance it with my total gratitude for the 5 shows I got to see.

I know, I even did a little head slap jammy.

BUT I can't complain, really, I saw some songs this tour I thought I'd never see. Only one I didn't get on my list are SG and BOWA.

Well said dude. Im diggin a lot about this summer. I think specifically the last couple weeks (the tapes are awesome) the band has been on fire. Every song (liked and well you know) sounds like its being played with tons of passion.

Im kind of pissed I didnt make Scranton, and Citi, but it seemed like such a reach after I splurged for the 24 hrs I was in Bethel. And I swear the Bethel show setlist couldn't hold other shows I've seen jockstraps. But the band sounded as good as I've ever heard them and twice as good as the SPAC nights this year. So much fun down there.

Noob question: Is the intro you're talking about the intro as it is on R2T, or something completely different?

So glad I only go to about 1 show a year, makes me appreciate them soooo much more. Goddamn some of you guys are downers. Thought it was a great set minus Digger and Some Devil. Opening 3 song run + Seek Up had me grinning like a buffoon, Black Jack confused the hell out of me in a good way, and the poster looks sweet. Also picked myself up a paint can shirt, since I could not in good conscience wear that Mets one.

Tonight rivaled Camden N2 as as my fav. Feeling very grateful to see 6 shows this tour. Maybe we should organize a DMB day in central park next summer so we can all be bummed out together?

I Gotz the tapes. I wasn't saying Bethel was better... lay off a little bit. I was alluding to the fact the most recent time I've heard the band play (Bethel) they sounded fantastic.
