The shame is, there’s a lot to like in Big Whiskey. But it’s the same 5-6 songs getting the endless play for 12 fucking years. They’ve played it into the ground and it’s left a lot feeling burnt out from it.

At least mix it up and throw Dive In, A-Pie, Time Bomb, and Spaceman into the rotation if they’re going to keep going back to this well. Dive In has just 5 full band plays since 2012! A-pie has just a single full band performance since 2013!

And I realize that I probably sounded like an ungrateful prick for bringing that up. We’re lucky to have her livestreaming the entire show in such good video and audio quality. When I started really following this band about 18 years ago, something like this was pretty much a pipedream. That’s back when concert calls and waiting a few days for the show to be available on dt.org were par for the course!!! (And checking out the 1 megapixel images of the show that Warehouse threw on their page)
