I have been to over 30 different bands or festivals at the Gorge and that was the only time we had any issues. Well.... we did have someone take a bottle of coconut rum and a pineapple at Sasquatch once but to be fair they left all the other booze:-) That was on us for leaving a full bar out in the open
Smashed car window?? OUCH!

That sucks, I've never heard of that happening.

Wow. First I've heard of that as well. That really fucking sucks.

I wonder what they saw in there that made it worth the risk of smashing a window.

I didn't see this in the Q & A, but can someone describe the venue itself (are the 100's just flat with folding chairs, same for 200, etc)?

Or point me in a good resource (i've gone on random yelp, view my seat, etc sites but only see great pics from lawn or pit.

    Thanks!

Seats are folding chairs zip-tied together. Seats/pit area are all concrete with a slope that will slowly kill your feet and back by night 3

The chairs in the front middle section are padded, if I recall correctly; these are typically the VIP/Premium seats.

There have been major issues in the past with people pulling apart the zip ties and stacking the chairs to make mini-pits within the seats. I don't think it happens that much now as it did back in the day, but be fore-warned.

Jeff and I experienced this REALLY BAD in 2002. We moved to the end of our row and stood in the aisle. When security told us to go back to our seats, we told them we'd be happy to if they can find our seat. They let us stand in the aisle all night and were actually really protective of us after that!

All camping is on sale right now.

If you are talking about "Oasis" it is on sale as well. Just have to call or email Live Nation VIP for the Seattle Area.

First timer sitting on the lawn. How difficult is it to get a decent spot on the lawn? I’m planning on getting in to the venue an hour before show time but don’t want to be stuck at the back of the lawn. Will I have any issues? Not necessarily trying to be at the front of the lawn, but not way in the back either.

People start lining up in the morning to get in first. It's a scene my friend.

an hour before show time and you'll be fine. Get yourself a WH lawn and I can guarantee you'll have a terrace to sit on.

I've heard this story, but I have not seen this happen in my years at the Gorge and I did seats last time.

That was also the year we had a girl literally overdose on us, she fell into our seats from behind, twitching and foaming, it was bad. Maybe it was just a rough year?

But seriously... Most people try and have some kind of camp party. Some groups dress up in costumes, sometimes there's a theme, it's really just a ton of fun. It's the only night w/o a show (obviously) so we like to take advantage of that!

Re: The Gorge Q&A and FAQs

Newbie here. My husband and I are camping in Gold and we have 3 day lawn passes. I have (so far) 3 questions. 1) Will we be allowed to leave the concert venue during the show to use the restroom in our RV and then return to the concert? I don't do porta potties. 2) Our son and his GF have tickets for Sunday nite only and are planning to come Saturday and stay with us in our RV until Monday. Will they be allowed into the campground? I read on Gorge Campground Rules that all parties must be present at check-in. If they can't get in with their concert tix, can we meet them outside the campground gate and bring them in as long as we have our campsite tix and we all have concert tix? 3) Does our RV count as our 1 vehicle or can we have our RV and our son's vehicle in our campsite? TIA. August can't come soon enough!!!

Each camp ticket covers one vehicle regardless of what area of the campground so your son will not be allowed to park at your gold camp spot unless they also have a gold camp pass. They could perhaps purchase the general camping pass, park their car in general, walk over to gold camping and probably could get into Gold camping. Tell them when you drive in to gold camping with your RV that you need 2 wristbands for your kids who will be arriving later and camping with you. Unfortunately Dave concerts at the gorge usually do not allow exiting and re-entering the venue:/

Ive never been there but that seems like an extremely unnecessary walk all the way out of the venue to an RV, especially when youd probably have to do it twice during a show. Youd probably be missing 2-3 songs

But yeah regardless, no venues allow exit and reentry.

If they won't give you extra bracelets when you check in, you can go to the site office with your extra guests and your camping pass when they arrive and get them wristbands.

Are you paying the oversized fee? The measurements for that bag are 54x12x16. Well over the 62 inch rule

Re: The Gorge Q&A and FAQs

Hi folks, this will be the first time Gorge for me. Can't wait for coming the day! Let me ask some questions.

1)Is there a battery charge spot at the venue? If there isn't, how does everybody charge your phone etc?

2)And are toilets at standard camping cleaned many times everyday?

Southwest, as most airlines, make exceptions for sporting equipment. I guess they could technically charge you for oversize since actual golf clubs aren't in the carrier, but I've never had a problem with that. I do make sure to stay under the 50 pound limit.

    1) Don't believe so. You may find a random unprotected power outlet somewhere

    2) Toilets?!?!? It's all port-o-lets in General Camping, maybe "emptied" a couple times a day, but don't know about cleaning
