Joel is supposed to be late 20s in the prologue in the game, and doesn’t look it either. If you really want to nitpick, Sarah is 12 and the actress they used for her in the show looks way older than 12.

I thought the line was a little tongue-in-cheek humor. I guess might have been better to just leave it out, but I didn’t even think twice about it and wouldn’t have if Chris and Andy didn’t joke about it on The Watch.

I think the way the shots were framed and the pace of the dialogue were two things. It's also a big reveal, and it just felt like a rush. Some of it could have been due to the fact that they needed to get the eff out of there and in a videogame you can "cutscene" it.

If it is...assuming not till season 2 as this season is just supposed to cover the first game.

Would be wild to see Rat King on TV though. Even knowing we're gonna see just gross bloaters is geeking me out.

They will undoubtedly cover it more in the next episode. And I thought it was pretty well hinted at from her introduction.

I mean I have to imagine they planned for that and expect to write beyond where the two games have gone... especially if theyre going to cover each game in its own season. I cant imagine they planned for this show to only last for two.

I may be in a small camp here, but I hope there's only one season. Do it, do it well, and move on.

I guess we’ll see. There’s already an outline script for a third game, not sure about the development. But I feel like we could run into a GoT scenario if they keep going beyond what’s officially out there.

craig mazin, the creator of the show, has said the show won't be more than 2-3 seasons

I would be curious to see some kind of viewership poll: played the game vs. never played the game.

The zombie genre is extremely played out, especially after a million seasons of Walking Dead. I feel like viewership of this is probably skewed pretty heavily towards those who played the game.

I played about half of the first game. I got stuck and frustrated so I tapped out. I don't do well with "horror" games. I remember trying to play Resident Evil and freaked myself way the hell out. Jump scares and shit just got me with this one.

I think you're severely underestimating the primetime Sunday night HBO crowd. There are those who tune in with no questions asked, let alone when something is this buzz-worthy and has so much marketing behind it.

I watched the entire game, so I know how it ends and all.

But I feel that the game players and watchers are in the minority. Much like GoT, there aren't as many watchers invested in the source material.

At least that's my view.
