Re: The NBA Thread

just for fun with no model/system :/ that used to take me 2 hours a day on top of watching games and i don’t have that free time anymore sadly

not really doing that well either tbh. if i posted any of my plays here i’d be a huge loser haha, but it is early in the season, tons of noise. right now the pace is starting to even out though, so probably can start making some informed decisions on o/u

market is severely disrespecting Portland lately, and they play tonight

also i saw Miami opened at -10.5 vs Charlotte, that’s a lot considering the Heat aren’t good and Charlotte looked decent with Rozier back last night. but it is a b2b for them

I slammed the under on the battle of LA last night. Was soooo sooo close to taking Utah moneyline in ATL, but got scared and backed off. Regretting that this morning.

I'll take a flyer on those tonight.

Cash it! Sprinkled on both moneylines. Watching the boxscore of the Charlotte game was a wild ride.

I was watching Cowherd yesterday and Russillo was on, and Cowherd floated out the idea of coming down to visit Russillo for a drink after work, and Ryen says, "Sorry, Charlotte's on tonight."

    He legit wasn't joking.

ah was hoping you’d lock in Charlotte +10! ML is a stretch but almost got there haha

Russillo is my spirit animal, he’s prob the only big name out there who watches as many games as i do so i respect his opinion a lot tbh

i may post more later but the San Antonio -1.5 or ML looks good at home against the Milwaukee jv team. some o/u caught my eye but i won’t be able to research a bit til lunch

actually, i know enough to smash Boston/Denver over and Minnesota/Milwaukee under

don’t love any sides but i guess Toronto ML plus San Antonio ML is good value, and then sprinkle on Cleveland ML at a +number. don’t love this spot on a long road trip for them but they’ll be extra motivated and Golden State bench has been that bad

I will sprinkle all of that. I was looking for big juice last night, hence the ML as opposed to points. I walked away with a profit due to Portland.

I played points with CLE as opposed to ML. Hard to resist +120 ML though.

^ nice!!! glad you had fun!!

main game was Minnesota/Memphis and man, Towns and Russell are god awful. body language first of all, but sheesh so much hesitation and bad spacing. poor Edwards trying to find space to operate, and poor Gobert trying hard on every play only to have his teammates muck it up. still early but man i need more. Memphis didn’t even have that good of a game

Tatum so good. his finishing is so much better than 5 months ago tbh

Cleveland/Golden State my god so much fun. Allen/Mobley ate inside but man Curry was unbelievebale in the 4th.

i can stomach the Cleveland loss but really upset at Toronto, would’ve been a big night for me otherwise

today i’m going wayyyy under Dallas/Portland, Philadelphia/Atlanta under, sprinkling on the Portland, Houston sides and Clippers/Brooklyn under

Lebron getting back to form means they win 25 games instead of 20. He is basically cooked, Wizards Jordan, at this point.

    Re: The NBA Thread

lots of catchup, skipped a lot of games bc injuries

takeaway from the last few days:

Utah still looks good even when they lose

Oklahoma City so fun. too much talent to have 25 wins. looks like a 30 win team unfortunately unless they do shenanigans again

Cunningham is out so Ivey is solo and he passes the eye test as a starting point guard. speed, shooting threat, can run an offense, pnr. just needs to limit mistakes as he gets older. quite an interesting development in Detroit

Sacramento slowly finding their way. Murray is a bona fide starter, Huerter a perfect fit. just need some defense out on the wings which will come as Mitchell develops

Miami with their first signature win

    healthy Denver is for real.

healthy Atlanta is pretty good but again Murray is outplaying Young

    Jaren Jackson returns tonight!!!

You expect us to win because I’m out there. So if you’re watching from that lens, you’re expecting us to play well because No. 7 is out there.

Not bad. But there are some old great nicknames: Magic, Pistol Pete, Iceman, The Answer, The Glove, Black Mamba, Big Shot Bobby, Mailman.

Currently, Lauri Markkanen has some top notch ones:
    Lauri Legend
    The Marksman
    The Finn Reaper
    The Finnisher
    Finnish Sniper
